WHEN: AUGUST 26, 2006, 11 AM – 4:00 TO 4:30 P.M.
WHERE: FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH of Sevierville
GREAT ROOM/GYM
214 Cedar Street, Sevierville, TN

WHAT YOU NEED: $20 ADMISSION PRICE
POP ID NUMBER (we can give you one)

WHAT YOU GET: 6 PACKS OF THE NEWEST SET (TO BUILD YOUR DECK)
GUARANTEED TOTAL OF 8 PACKS, plus and an Exclusive Crystal Guardians merchandise.
FORMAT: LIMITED (40 CARD DECKS THAT YOU BUILD THAT DAY)
REGISTRATION TIME: 11AM-12:00 P.M. TOURNEY BEGINS 12:30 P.M. (approx.) (HAVE 30 MINS. TO BUILD YOUR OWN DECK)

This is your chance to get the cards before anyone else will in town! Get your chance to grab one (or more) of the TEN EX’s or TWO Shining Stars!!!

There will be assistance there if you haven’t built a 40 card deck before. Packs will be handed out and you will have 30 minutes to build a deck from the packs you open. DO NOT OPEN THE PACKS UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO!! YOU CANNOT TRADE CARDS WITH EACH OTHER to build your deck! Energy cards will be provided. Three age groups 10 & under, 11-14 and 15 & up. There will be a SWISS AGE MODIFIED format used for the tourney. There will probably be FOUR TO FIVE rounds played at 30 minutes/rd. There will be raffles and giveaways between rounds!! Yes, I've been waiting for the date of this event to pop up here so that I could ask for that specific day off from work.

Now all I have to do is gather some $$$ so that I could purchase some packs (which I sadly couldn’t do at the Holon Phantoms Prerelease). Hope to see everyone there having a good time. I know that I will.

Hey Prime. It’s been alright. I’ve been busy with work (as my last post may have shown) and preparing for classes again in Sept. Other then that I’ve been playing Emerald, and Animal Crossing: Wild World on my DS an awful lot; not to mention just collecting cards and sorting through them all to see what I actually “do” have and “don’t” have.

I’ve attended the League here in Sevierville on several occasions (when time and work will permit it) and that’s helped me to learn and develop my game play.

Ever since I got back into the Pokémon game with the ex: Holon Phantom Prerelease, I’ve been working to expand my collection beyond just the older sets and trying to make a deck that I like and enjoy. I’m really enjoying myself and cannot figure out why I never played the game before now. Oh well; that’s how it is.

Anyway, how about yourself? Your summer been alright? It would be nice to see you again at the ex: Crystal Guardians Prerelease. It would be nice to see many of the same faces from last time again.

YAY! I've been waiting for this date forever! I've gotta get some $$$$$ Bling Bling! lol and ask if I can go. I'll try and see evrybody there!!!

Should be a SUPER set! Will be great to see my Asheville friends. Who knows what the raffles will be? Maybe I will be able to land some Worlds swag to toss in the fray!

Have rec'd some door prizes in the mail the last couple of days! Gonna be FUN! Don't forget......ole Keith will have drinks and a snack bowl for all to share again!

Record highs (and I dont mean temperatures!) at the event. 45 players WOW! GJ everybody. Glad to see so many ppl come out to play.

I had a great time at the ex: Crystal Guardians Prerelease. I did the same as the ex: Holon Phantoms Prerelease in wins / losses (winning 2; losing 2), but it was still fun nonetheless.

I’m quite surprised with the turn out. I was mostly expecting the same ordeal as the ex: Holon Phantoms Prerelease. The explosion in growth was welcomed, even though I wasn’t able to get the box I saved up to get. Oh well. There’ll be the next set and possibly two boxes then. *evil-laugh*

The event went along smoothly, though there was the slight ordeal at the beginning for me (in which my opponent couldn’t play due to specific circumstances). Oh well. Those kinds of things happen. I just hope to see that person again next time. We can have a rematch (or a match since we never had one to redo).

The prizes were great; even though I didn’t get any of them (other then that POP #2 pack (which didn’t have anything in it really)). The hat would’ve been awesome to get, but the persons who won them in each age group were deserving of it. Great job everyone on that.

As for my events, I was able to do some trading in which I got several things I’ve been aiming to get, and a few things I wasn’t really planning on getting but got anyway. I now have enough to work on that deck idea I’ve been throwing around in my head. All that I need are a few small detail cards to finish it, but it’s playable at this current time. So everyone at the Sevierville League be prepared. You aren’t battling against my normal deck anymore.

My final thoughts about the event are that it moved along smoothly and everyone did a wonderful job in the organization and preparation for it. I know that Keith may have had some “fun” for the people who haven’t played before showing up, but he seemed to handle it fine.

Now for preparation of the next one.

K: I think all of them ended up with dead batteries. Still being in the packageing from Japan, you never know how old they may have been. I think you can replace the battery tho, it is only a small watch battery maybe?

Also, let's thank Keith for adding those hats to the prizes. It added a spice to the tournament and I think everyone really appreciated them.

yeah that's what my dad said...I think he's gonna replace the battery for me.


early November is the best time of the year! that's my bday! hehe :biggrin: :thumb:
