the milotic is not milotic ex. it is the milotic from the emerald gift tin in japan. the manetric is also from the tin. so, the cards in this set will be from:
-QCP(quick-construction packs)
-Emerald Gift Tin (tin commemerating the release of the "pokemon emerald game"--was released near the date the japanese "pokemon emerald" was released, so we get the cards near the american release of the "pokemon emerald" game--may 1st~go figure)
-MOST of the cards from the latest mcdonalds set--i say this because some of the cards have already been released in hidden legends, but apparently, speed form deoxys is in this set.
now, i'd like everyone to understand that THIS SET DOES NOT EXIST IN JAPAN. OUR american set is compiled of the japanese easily-acessible stuff (QCP, Emerald tin, etc...). so, the milotic and manetric from the emerald tin will be in the theme decks, not the milotic ex, which will, however, be in the set.
also...i'd like to mention that TV reporter is in the emerald tin...so...maybe TV reporter will be in this set as a reprint (because of the whole seasonal format change...thingy...)
oh...and if matrix energies aren't in this set, i will lead a revolution. =P

If there are no matrix energy, this set will be awful.

I wouldn't say the set will be awful without it - but if PUI is taking the time to include holo Basic Energy Cards (I still wonder if they will be 1 per pack?!?!?), then make then as pretty as those from ADV EX1 (or QCP, which is very similar)... :thumb:

slow down pokekid. i never said TV reporter was DEFINATLY coming back---all i said was that there is a POSSIBILITY. also , i'm not positive on rayEX (from dragons) making a return (the one from dragon's was reprinted for the emerald tin, but has different artwork). the only reasons why it would is because:

1. has cool art =P
2. sorta fits the theme with the set--the set is ex: emerald, and the pokemon emerald game focuses on rayquaza, so this could provide a chance for ol'big, green, and scary to return.
3. play with the seasonal format change. y'know...roughen things up (because the format'll get SOOOO roughed up due to the return of "switch" and "potion"...and don't make me remind you of...WARP POINT AND BASIC ENERGIES!!!)

.....WAIT

now i just realized something---because of the new format change (for 2006), the basic energies will be left out of the picture (because they were in ruby/sapphire and no other set). this means they will HAVE to be reprinted in order to actually...make the game not die. (c'mon...who wants to play a game thats...unplayable -_-). so...could this be a hint to the sweet HOLO (wink at rainbow richards) matrix energies will be reprinted in order to maintain balance in the game, and, to shake things up and give us a cool new way to play?

* at rainbowrichards* i see...well...hmmm...still...i could see them putting holo matrix energies in packs and non holo ones in the decks, but because of the types in the decks, not all non-holo types would be released...so that presents a problem.

and yes, it is WAY too early to create a list. currently, the only holos that are in the emerald tin, QCP, and mcdonalds cards combined are:

1. groudon
2. kyogre

-_-...so yeah...plus, it was pretty suprising to see the new deoxys (speed form; non-ex) to be labled "2/106" was pretty suprising...i guess this means that the deoxys will be holo in this set, as opposed to the mcdonalds counterpart. so, maybe some originally non-holo cards will now be holo.

grahh...finnneeee....*gets stuff ready for our revolution*. sigh...really unprepared for this. rainbow, would you like to control groudon or kyogre?

The booster art rocks, as do the precons.

I hope we really do get that reprint of the DR Rayquaza ex, he deserves to get reprinted.

I also really hope we do get those holo energies, that'd be ultra sexy.

Woot.

i have to say, the art for the pre-cons do rock.
however...the rayquaza on the booster art looks like an aligator.
honestly, i can't see this set doing well unless those energies are released. anyway, la resistance lives on.

no it wasn't. i have the emerald tin and i can see that all the art on the theme decks and boosters are new art. its how its been for like, all the sets so far. every booster/theme deck has art that isn't on a card.
