Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

"EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua" Pre-release @ Houston, Texas

Heh I think I know what the promo is, I've seen it. If it is, then the card stinks, there is nothing big to hope for. If I, not being a professor, would tell what it is, would there be consequence?

Another thing, when will we know DEFINITELY what side event will occur, and will this be before or after the main event?

~Obi_Wan~

Many of you have been asking about the "Side Events". I have sanctioned the following tournaments as "Side Events":

"EON Modified Constructed Format" (60-Card Deck that You Bring) ($5.00-Entry Fee)

"Unlimited Constructed Format" (60-Card Deck that You Bring) ($5.00-Entry Fee)

"Limited Booster Draft or Sealed Deck" (You will Receive 6-Packs of the NEW CARDS to Make a 40-Card Deck Including Energy) ($15.00-Entry Fee)

These are the tournaments that I have sanctioned as "Side Events". We need at least eight players to start any of these tournaments. Prizes will be based on the number of players entered into each tournament.

We will have a "GBA: Ruby & Sapphire" Tournament that will be FREE!!!! This time we will not have Tri-Winners. After the 10-Minute Time Limit, players that are tied will start again with ONE Different POKEMON that was not used in the previous battle. First to die, loses. The prizes will not be as much as in the "City Championships".

Ok, the "GBA: Ruby & Sapphire" Tournament, "Unlimited Constructed Format", and "EON-Modified Constructed Format" will start at 11:00am or when enough players have registered. :thumb: Again, we need at least eight players to run these tournaments.

The "EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua" Pre-release Tournament will start at 1:00pm.

The "EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua" Booster Draft Tournament will start after the "Pre-release Tournament" is finished.

Pokemon USA, Inc has emailed the PTOs today. PUI has given us guide lines for any "Premier Tournament" on how it is to be ran. We will being using these guide lines in this "Pre-release Tournament" and any other "Premier Tournament" that I am the TO. ;)

I hope that this answers the questions that you have asked.

Oh yes, Master Professor Birch will be trying to make an appearance at "Heroes Collectables" on 1810 Dairy Ashford, Houston on Friday night "Pokemon League". Some of you really ~ really good players can try to take on Master Professor Birch!!!! If you can actually beat me, I will be giving out prizes!!!!

Later,

:pokeball: Master Professor Birch :pokeball:

Alright! A chance to take on the Professor himself! I'lll definantly try to make it on Friday!

-Phillip

hopefully i can go friday night so i can destroy everyone there with my ............ GOLDEEN deck !!!!! hahahahahahahahahahaha :) see ya there hopefully tomorrow

Since nothing was mentioned about the promo, I guess I could say. I found it labeled as a nintendo promo on the pojo COTD reviews. Its a Latios, and it isn't playable if you ask me. I'm pretty sure this is it, because I've been to every premier event in the last 3 months in this area, and I've never come across one. pojo.com is where to find it.

As for Friday, I'll try real hard to go. Sadly I will have to leave at 3:30 from the prerelease because I have to go to work. This sucks I tried to reschedule but I can't. I guess its good news for some people. Oh well I assume the prizes for the sanctioned events be Team A+M boosters?

See you on friday.

You're mistaken, that Latios promo comes from buying a Pokémon movie. I guess the mystery of the PreRelease card goes on! There's a list of the set posted on boards, I wonder if that is real...

I just got off the phone with charlie and its a stage 1 suprisingly but he wont say anything else about it but he said it may be holo.

~Seth~

maybe if we go ans play him at the league tomorrow night that he will show it to us or that will be one of the prizes he might give us one ......:) see ya later

Charlie never said that it was a Stage-1 Pokemon. You said that it must be a Stage-1 Pokemon because of the EX Dragon Pre-release Promo. And there was never the word "HOLO" mentioned in ya'll chat on the phone that I over heard. Be careful what you put on this website if you don't know for sure????

Later,

:pokeball: Master Professor Birch :pokeball:

 Oh yes, Mrs. Birch says that I can come out and play tomorrow night at "Heroes Collectables" on "Pokemon League Friday Night". :thumb: You guys are going to get so blitz and I take no prisoners!!!

it says "Other "Side Events" may be ran before and after the "EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua" Pre-release. We offer "Booster Draft", "Modified Constructed Format" (60 Card Deck), and "Unlimited Constructed Format" (60 Card Deck) Tournaments as other "Side Events". The "Entry Fee" for the "Booster Draft" is $15.00. The "Entry Fee" for the "Constructed" Tournaments is $5.00. Prizes will be given out according to the player size of the tournament."

so the 60 card deck torty is $5 and the other is $15 and the $15 pays for the torty and the cards?

The 60 card deck events are $5 (you bring the 60 cards).
The booster draft is $15. You get 6 packs for this to build a 40 card deck from. Energies are provided by the organizer, so you are really only going to use 20-22 cards from the 54 you draft.
You can enter all or none, but each different event costs something.

Bah...my car broke down and by the time I got it fixed, it's too late to show up at the Pokémon League. But no worries, I can still make it to the big event!
