These pokemon are going to make it into one of our main sets and lead to people complaining that the set stinks :nonono: . They would probably have a better run as league promos since they are designed for beginners.

Mary's Impulse coming back. Okay.

Base Set Professor Oak is hoping the Rules Team spares him the most recent print rule. All these cards getting the same name but completely different effects is really messing with the recent print rule. JPN doesn't seem to care that they already have cards with the same names (Pokemon Center, Super Rod, Computer Search) and same effects (Mail From Bill and Bicycle) already printed at one point. Maybe the rule should put more emphasis on the effect of the t/s/s instead of the name being the overwhelming factor? If we even want to keep the rule at all.

The card is named "Professor Oak's Meeting". Never been used before.

People are really over praising Ghetsis and all, but seriously people. Have you SEEN the art on those EBfE cards? That Zorua, Sigilyph and Thundurus especially, but almost every card is beautiful :D I want it all just for the art

Tell me about it. Those cards are seriously breathtaking. I really want that Meloetta and Sandile especially.

All the cards in the Battle decks have stunning artwork. Also it's good to see we have variety in terms of supporters. Ghetsis is pretty strange but seems like a good disruptive card; and one that you benefit from. Fennel is just funny. If it were a set number of flips, she would be a lot more playable. Giratina and Darkrai are pretty cool, though Darkrai is kinda lackluster. However with the help of Colress Machine, these guys can be devastating if you're not careful.

Overall I approve. Even though we don't know what most of the cards do.

I wonder is this card is designed to be a team plasma counter, as a preemptive attempt to avoid a return of the sp type of dominance in an engine. Since if I'm not mistaken Japan's December set is supposed to have a lot of plasma stuff.

Metagross and the Plasma Stuff is feeling pretty darn good right now...can still get Supporters and stuff to get out of the Ghestis lock.

Non EX full arts are good but they are still of big basic Pokemon which I don't like. Also, Ghetsis is broken. Not as bad a Lass. Guess I'll be replacing those Random Receivers with more Supporters. Why could the card not just choose 1 or 2 Items...

So why would anyone use oak over Cheren?? I just don't see any reason to choose drawing 2 cards over 3 cards..

This set's artwork is adorable and I will buy the heck out of any future "filler" set that players will shun for having these cards. <3

this Ghetsis sounds alot like Lass except for the draw part. Will we see when the english card comes out (if it does come out about the ruling. Oak is like the Bill from HGSS Pokemon seems to have a "go back to the past" moments just with new names. Like I said though We shall see.

No, it's very clearly named Professor Oak's Meeting, or Professor Oak's Welcome, or along those lines. It's a definitely new card with a definitely OLD effect. Seriously, the Bill clones and variants have been coming for years (Mom's Kindness, Cheerleader's Cheer, Emcee's Chatter, etc.) and apparently they're not stopping.

As for why you would use it over Cheren... er... well... Maybe if you only had 3 cards left in your deck? XD

You're not supposed to use it over Cheren, it's part of a deck set designed to teach kids how to play with very basic effects.

"Basic Kid Playtime" in Japan is marketed as "Pro Pokemon Master Deck" in America :p

Still a nice concept. Just take 2 15-card decks and do a new one. Learn to use weakness by doing a Fighting/Fire deck by the way. You don't need any random pack, and you can create any type combo you want. Not too many coin flip by the way.

Ghetsis in a deck devoted to Stoutland BC seems VERY interesting. Ghetsis to wipe their hands of items, and get Stoutland out ASAP to prevent them from playing supporters. He's got 140 hp with a respectable 90 damage attack. Attach Eviolite to him and use Aspertia Gym he could really mess some decks up. At the very least stall for a very good portion of the game to get you set up. I'm definitely going to play test these two together.
