So Defender from Undaunted has an error. It has been ruled that it WILL prevent self damage. That being said, I thought it would be fun to create a Bomb deck with defenders to keep my bombs from KOing themselves. The main attacker of this deck is Forretress G, who has 2 interesting attacks, Shell Scatter which spreads 10 damage across an opponent's field and BOMB RISK which does 80 to the active, 10 to both benches and flip to see if you do 80 to yourself.

Special Metals and Defenders will keep my Forretress alive after a Bomb Risk while doing lots of damage to my opponent. Electrode G, Bronzong G and Manectric are finishers. Crobat G and Spiritomb will add a little OOMPH to the spread damage. Also the defenders and Specials Metals will reduce my opponents damage down to let my Forretress's take a hit or two.

Thoughts?

Man I love this concept I was thinking of something similar myself but I couldnt work out exactly how to run it. I would definitely get some more Aarons in there, seeing as there isnt much discard recovery going on. If the primary aim of the deck is spread damage I would add in more Electrode G for its low attack cost. Also, Nidoqueen (RR) completely shuts this down so I would in a 1-1 Dialga G Lv.X tech, or an alternative to shut down her Poke-Body. Otherwise, props for an inventive deck, hope I helped,

I'm not super familiar with building SPs, is more than one aarons needed? Should I run Palmers/flower shop girl too? What about Conductive quarry?

I dont want to run too many electrode g, as he is too fragile to consistently keep alive for an explosion. Even with Snowpoint Temple and one Defender, he will be left with only 10 hp!
He's great for finishing off the last few KOs.

Power Sprays should stop Healing Breath, and Nidoqueen, I'll just shrug and do what I can.

No most SP decks only run one Aarons but I just thought two was ideal for this deck. Power Sprays for Healing Breath is a good idea, though they will Poketurn and repeat the process. Nidoqueen isnt something you can shrug off if this deck is meant to be competitive because you have almost an autoloss to any deck that gets Nidoqueen out.
