Hi there ! I would like to run Rapidash / Heatran for CC. I need some help:

Here's the list:

Pokémons 21

4 Ponyta DP
4 Rapidash SF

2 Heatran (fire) LA
2 Heatran Lv.X SF

2 Baltoy GE
2 Claydol GE

2 Magmar
2 Magmortar SW
1 Magmortar Lv.X

Trainer: 27
4 Bebe's Search
4 Roseanne Research
1 Luxury Ball
2 Great Ball
2 Energy Link
4 Duskball
2 Switch
2 Warpoint
2 Rare Candy
2 Poké Radar
2 Stark Mountain

Energy: 12
12 Fire energy

Strategy:
Snipe all their basic that they try to set-up from T2 to the end. Magmortar can be used as a surprise attack with Rare Candy. (You can move around energy with Heatran and Stark)

// Testing //

I've tested this deck in a tournament, and I've found that the Magmortar Line was pretty useless. Here's my match:

Tyranitar/Drakrai: The only real problem I had was with me using alot of pokepower, but I found that during mid-game I could just stop using Powers for a few turn (If I store energies during the match, I can move them around and do 60 each turn and discarding)
Kabutops.dek: Well, I'Ve never thought this could have hurted. He had a T2 Kabutops but I had my Rapidash with Heatran + Baltoy in the bench. I've killed him by burning him and then retreating for heatran, and the burn slowly killed him. (he had no bench)
EmpoSpread: WEll, water weakness sucks, it was still close but he was at the end attacking with the new SF one (wich is metal), but he played his Lv.X for the win.
Tyranitar (again?!): Well, he couldn't setup, I wouldn't let him
Machamp: I had T2 'Dash/Heatran Lv.X again, and I didn't let him setup.

Why rare candies? You have no stage 2's so they're kinda pointless. I'd replace the candies with 2 more energy.

In this deck I'd definitely play 4 Switch or Warp Point of any combination. You'll need it for Heatran to get out there and then get back to the bench. Try this:

-4 Quickball
-2 PokeRadar

+2 Switch
+2 Warp Point
+2 Fire

Quickball is just too chancy and doesn't give you the options as Duskball does. And I think 10 energy is not enough. Especially if you consider the odds of getting 2 or more of them prized. Of course, you do have Heatran to get them back, but if you're not getting him, you may have to relinquish the energy for an attack with Rapidash and no Heatran. Good luck with this deck though. Seems like it would play awesome against everything but Kingdra.

Yes, I had forgotten to write them down ! I will change the list, but I will keep the Quickball, wich i find is pretty usefull

I belive that he wants them so he can evo them first turn

Right?

It is for a surprise attack with MAgmortar Lv.X ! :)

I've tested this deck and it's pretty impressive ! I've won easily against a Gengar / DUsknoir deck, because he couldn't setup with my 60 to what he was preparing !

It's pretty good !

My bad, I meant Magmortar, well let me explain:

Put Magmar to RC into Magmortar, move all energies with Stark Mountain for a heavy hit.

Could i do this ?

You should try the R engine that my good friend MadHatter told me about it really speeds up Stage 1 T2 decks basically it's 4 Unown-R and 2-4 great balls it thins your deck out really well and gets you some instant draw power

No you can only move one energy a turn with Stark... Maybe Energy Link? I use four in my deck.

That'd be good, Energy Link on heatran who can get all the energy, then retreat free with 'dash !

Isn't Poké Drawer + doing the same thing ? And I don't care if my bench is full.
How's my list now ? I've changed it a bit..

Should I replace magmortar with another heavy hitter ? Let me know !

I thinking of a similar deck

pokemon like this

2 heatran
2 heatran lv.x

4 ponyta
4 rapaidash

4 cherium
4 cherrub.

If I read it right Cherium's extra damage isnt limited to the active, so your 2:fire: for 60 snipe attack becomes

2:fire: = 70
2:fire: = 80
so on

for free no discard. auto snipe claydol is kinda nice.

I'm sorry GodTrainer, but Chrrim SF does only boost the damage dealt to the Defending Pokemon.
It does not help with Snipe Cards...

Have you actually tried it? Have you ever worked on one deck to makeit really consistent. I will agree, I have Claydon one game out of two fast ( T2). IN always have dash and heat though.

Yes i have worked on making a deck really consistent.
Dont claim that it is easy to get out two stage one's and a basic lv.x by turn two though, because it isnt.

This looks a really cool deck. I love Heatran lv.x. What does worry me is the fact that you play 8 supporters and no draw power supporters. Try adding in 4 facilitys/pov. Other than that a good deck:)
You should do well at the CC with this deck.
Samuel

take out 1 dusk ball and the greatballs and run 3 quick balls then take out the candies and a swich and put in 3falicity's drawing

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

oh yeah iforgot about ur energy shortage take out the rest of the dusk balls 1 rapidash and 1 ponyta for 5 more energy because that deck takes a lot of energy
