looking through the new BW scanlations i saw what may turn out to be a rather deadly deck. not sure on what will come out and what the next rotation will be but im sure most if not all these cards are viable as it will be something like HS on. (apologies if any cards are pre-HS)

2-2-2 magnezone prime

4 energy retrieval
3 judge
2 engineers
2 fisherman
3 elms
3 collector
3 communication
2 junk arm

deck plays alot like magnegatr. except now we're playing with fire. start with reshiram or tepig and start loading up with fire while doing damage and getting magnezone set up. 120 a turn with reshiram+energy retrieval/fisherman+enbuoh. magnezone covers weakness, draw power, and can clean up late game.
could add a seeker to revive reshiram and keep going but that would require more switches or something of that manner.
maybe a max restore+fisherman+enbuoh combo instead.
let me know your thoughts.

bump. edited deck list to add in judge as some one advised me that would be very helpfull with hand refresh+magnezone as well as a little disruption to my opponent. still looking for some help and opinions for the deck. dont be afraid because some of the cards have yet to be released. thanks in advance
 
This is a awesome idea, I was thinking of something just like this but the T/S/S were a little bit different. I was also looking at Magmortar from TM. But if I would add him in then more energy would be needed. But if it is HGSS forward I can see every card in a deck being crucial or needed. So being able to discard a lot of their cards would be worth taking the risk of discarding the energy.
But what about Pokemon Catcher in the list you have now? Either being able to bring up a pokemon to stall, or to bring up a pokemon their either trying to build up or just give you a easy KO.
 
yeah i actually had the pokemon catcher in there before the update. what would you have me take out to fit a couple in? and yeah magmortar would have a good fit in the new format i think. without the ever so popular sp decks and cards like bts and bebe's limiting speed and consistency of t2 decks im really excited to see the range of decks that will be played.
 
Yeah, I am looking foward to the next format also. I hope it goes HGSS forward, because it would even out the play field and also go back to 40 minute games because the next format wouldn't be as fast.
As for adding in a few cards I would drop the 2 Energy Retriever because it allows you to get a total of 4 energy back that way and having 4 would clog up space and even if you need to get more energy you have Junk Arm to get it back if needed that bad. I would also add in 2 Double Coloress energy. That way if you have to attack with Enbuoh you wouldn't need 4 energy. This way use his power twice attach a DCE and constantly hit for 80. Which combo with Pokemon Catcher it should be able to get you quick easy KO's. For the DCE's I would drop 1 Judge, and 1 Professor Elm. Judge is a great card but its still situational. And can cause a backfire allowing your opponent to draw better than you and lose the match. The Professor Elm just isn't as good as Bebe's Search LOL and has limitations on what can be pulled out. Also you have a lot of search cards and cards to keep drawing so I don't think the 3rd Professor Elm is needed.
So drop the Following:
2 Energy Retreiver
1 Judge
1 Professor Elm
Add the following:
2 Pokemon Catcher
2 Double Coloress Energy
 
ok i think id be fine with those changes. ill update the list. the only thing ive been worried about for next format is(if it is hgss on and not rr on) what will we ahve for stage 2 decks to add consistency? thats why i put the elms in. this deck will obviously look alot different if it is a rr-on format. anyone have other thoughts for the deck?
