Fire Pokemon!

Hey there, Pokegym. The (presumedly) soon to be popular, fire-weak cards Vrizion EX and Genesect EX recently translated into English for Plasma Blast. I was wondering what Fire Pokemon might be able to hold their own in decks or as techs in the upcoming, unknowable, mysterious format.

So far, I know Entei EX and Heatran EX are possible to use, but neither are terribly good. Heatran works well with DCE if you don't use Plasma. Either might be used with Garbodor to nullify some of Keldeo or slow down Virizion/Genesect.

Ideas?

Victini EX. With Victory Piece attached, you kill Genesect, Virizion, and Cobalion EX all in one shot. It would be the best thing to tech in if you're afraid of the Genesect Matchup.

As for a straight up fire deck, I could see Emboar making a comeback. Reshiram and Entei are solid attackers. Even something like Moltress EX could find it's way in if you want to go the plasma route.

I forgot about Ninetails. If you're playing Eevee, Flareon could be a good tech as well. Heat tackle hits the magic 90. Though I think Moltres (next destinies) might be the better card for things like Darkrai Hydreigon.

Well right now im playing white kyurem emboar deck that has reshiram from bw in it....its a real good deck but the problem with it is that emboar is weak to keldo ex.

But White Kuyrem EX is not. Hook it up with Crystal Edge and it's on par with Genesect-EX as far as damage is concerned. My WKEX deck uses Plasma Chandelure to recharge him every turn.

Tin Reshiram-EX can work, too, (150, risk of self-damage, but no discard).

Fire won't be an archetype of its own. Genesect is good, but not so good that it controls the meta game. Tdk is still going to be good along with darkrai and blastoise. A fire deck will likely get wrecked by all of those.
