well, i wanted to make a deck with houndoom the moment i saw the translations. i was trying to find a way to power it up and i found that stark mountain and typhlosion is a great way. what does houdoom do you ask? well, take a look

houndoom :fire: 80 hp

poke-body: revenge fang

if you have less bench than your opponent, houndooms attack's do 40 more damage to the active ( before weakness and resistance).

:colorless 20, if the defending pokemon has any damage counters on it, it is now burned.

:fire::fire: 60, flip a coin, if tails, discard 2 fire energy.

the reason i play it with typhlosion is because of the risk of flipping tails, and i think this is a great card because most decks have 4-5 bench at all times. if they keep it smaller they dont set up as good ie 2 claydols ect..... you can outspeed any deck except bannette, and maybe some lucky turn 1 candy to kingdra. the only concern i have with the deck is the low hp. well enough about the stratagy, here it is.

Ok my suggestion would be

+1 fire,

Also what about energy link?

I have a lot of times I am glad I just play the two I do and nothing more.

I am personally a fan of houndoom, it reminds me of my mightyena deck I used to run, except backwards.

Ok I will say you are just going to want to swing from the second turn worst case.

Other then that I hope it works out excellent for you.

Past that all I could say is play test it, and hopefully it works excellently for you.

i made the changes, and i added lake boundary for torterra. this is a speed beatdown deck so yea i want to start out swinging first turn. if they play a small bench then that might be a problem, so ill try to put a tech in for that. oh and it isnt out yet so i cant really playtest it, just make visual changes.

id suggest not putting the lakes cause mr empoleon and mr kingdra well be pretty big next format but im happy some 1 hasnt totaly given up on fire

thats what bubble coat is for, which is why im going to see how popular they get. anyways this is just experimental, and what does heatran lv x do?
