Well, I went back to the drawing board, and this is what I came up with.
Flare Blitz!!
Pokemon=16
4-2-4 Emboar 2, 19 + 2, 20
3. Cleffa
3. Reshiram
Trainers=29
3. Pokemon Collector
3. Prof. Juniper
2. Prof. Oak's New Theory
2. Prof. Elm's Training Method
1. Fisherman
4. Pokemon Communication
4. Energy Retrieval
3. Rare Candy
2. Dual Ball
2. Switch
3. Plus Power
Energy=15
2. DCE
3. Rescue
10. Fire
Strategy: Get out Emboar 20 out on the bench by T2-3, and powering up Reshiram so it can do Blue Flare for 120. During/After that, get Emboar 19 evolved, so it can help kill big threats like Donchamp, and Magneboar. Cleffa, Juniper, and PONT help me to draw cards really well, despite not having Ninetales in here. Energy Retrieval and Fisherman help me get back energies from the discard pile.
Matchups: This format just started, so wait until after Nats for this.
I went down on a Pignite, Dual Ball, and 2 Interviewer's Questions to add 3 Plus Powers, and a Fire Energy. I agree that I need the Plus Powers for the mirror, and maybe some other stuff. I left the Juniper's as they are, because I need the massive draw power, and I know how to deal with, and control my discarding. It's only let me down slightly, and I've benefited greatly so far from using them. I'm trying this without Interviewers right now to see how it goes. I usually like it a 2 when I have 15, or more Energy, and I usually pull a lot of energy with it when I do play it.
I just recently got Dual Balls, and ever since I got them they've been a big help. Especially when I don't have Collector. I know they seem like much, but so far they're worth it. I might go down on a Collector, and add in the 3rd ball, or something. :lol: (the third ball) I'm going to need all of the energy recovery that I can get, so taking out an Energy Retrieval is out of the question. I did like the idea of the 4th Reshi, but I'm going to need those Rescue Energy to help me get back Emboar #19 when it's facing decks like DonChamp, and MagneBoar.
They have multiple copy's of their main attacker, and they'll be/have been placing Rescue Energies on them as well. If #19 dies off without a Rescue, Reshi can't handle them, and I'll be playing behind. Also, It's just nice to be able to use up to 4-6 Reshiram, Without playing that many. I've got enough energy in here to supply each of my attackers once. Then I have the Retrievals/Fisherman to reuse their attacks, because they will stay on the field more than one turn.
I've played this deck all through out BR's, (with tombs of course) and have been testing it out for this format ever since. I have played it with Ninetales before, and it hasn't worked for me like I wanted it to. I wouldn't be saying it plays good without Ninetales if I didn't test/play it without it. It actually Inspired me to write my article, which I'm still working on atm to get it front page worthy. I'll be putting most of this in the OP, so people won't get confused, and think this is another net-deck, theorymon, newbie deck without Ninetales/good draw engine.
I'm going to keep working on this deck, and get it ready for the National Championships. Thanks guys for all your help, and keep posting.
