Floral Crown

I haven't kept up with rule changes for quite some time now, but after reading this card I gotta ask in reference to Floral Crown activating at the end of your opponent's turn

iirc, regardless of how much damage an attack does (i.e. An attack does 120 damage to a Pokemon with 80 HP) the damage doesn't exceed a Pokemon's max HP -and- you check for KO between turns.

If so, other than by special condition or by an attack which Puts "x" damage, could Floral Crown render any basic nearly invulnerable?

Not sure why you think that.
If you do 200 damage, you put 20 damage counters on a Pokemon, even if it only has 80 HP.
Also, KOs from an attack have to be resolved before the turn ends. It is not between turns unless the KO happened between turns (for example, from Poison).
