I played Durant and Gothitelle/Reuniclus with a 1st, two Top 8's and a Top 4. The Marathon was an absolute blast. 80° and sunny everyday, great players, great people. Heidi & Larry did an awesome job keeping the events going quickly. Can't wait for next year.

No repeat winners. Looks like it was a good mix of decks and good play. Glad it went well. Thx for the info.

Such a good mix of players and decks, skill level of players were through the roof, no easy wins to be found anywhere. I was honored to be Head Judge of two of these events. Thanks go out to all of the players, positive attitudes and players coming prepared contributed to the success of the marathon.

Out of State players- Thank you for coming, I hope you enjoyed yourselves!!! Props on taking a few wins and a bunch of championship points. If our organizers decide to do one next year hope to see you again next year.

In State Players- The marathon may be over but City Championships are not done yet. Here is the Schedule for the remaining Florida City Championship events.

Dec 31st- Port St. Lucie
Jan 7th- Titusville and Jacksonville
Jan 8th- Daytona Beach

Also the Florida State Championships will be March 17th, 2012 at the Florida Hotel & Conference Center in ORLANDO. More information about states can be found on Randy and Ronae Curry's website- www.teamop.org

Hey guys

Great job. Sounds like it was a great time.

Any idea about the attendance breakdowns?

First 3 days- 89, 82, 69.

I think only the first day hit 65 masters, got the 7th rd and hit the 64 player kicker for 9th-16th Championship Points.

I was hoping to hit 64 Masters each day, but there weren't many out of state attendees as we had hoped. Since so many areas are doing Marathons, most players are simply attending their local Marathons.

The out of state players we had were:
Michael Pramawat (Virginia)
Luke Reed (Virginia)
Ben Potter (Virginia)
Sami Sekkoum (England)
Matthew Alvis (Illinois)
Kyle Sucevich (Wisconsin)
Colin Peterik (Illinois)

I'm not sure if we had any other out of state players...there may have been a few Georgia players, though I'm not sure.
