You and me both, JokerBoi. 3-3 once again for me. At least I used an archetype (Flygon ex d). Looks like my deck needs a little more speeding up and different tech. Hardly saw any Flariados in Masters this year - a lot of Metanite (gonna have to get myself some Mew d stat!), a bit of Flygon (like me!), the occasional Raieggs or Banette, and pretty much rogue the rest of the way.

At least the day trip was fun, and I got 4 ex's (3 in the PK box I bought, and 1 in a CG pack).

There were a ton of positives out of this tourney I thought were worth noting. Below is what I know of the finishes along with comments:

Masters: (44)
EricC: Mew/.Joltoen/Absol EX/etc (Very well thought out)
ShawnB: Arcanine (sorry for the early miss)
RichardF: Typhloken (Impressive and unique!)
CarsonR: Gardevoir/Flygon

Seniors (??)

Juniors (38) - Great turnout!
GraftonR: Raibok
DanielA: Exploud/etc (Great playing with his own deck)
JaredF: Flygon
Shaquil: Metanite (Very nice showing)

My Props:
Once again the excellent job by the judging and registration staff. Glad Mike could see it.
A great location and good discount price for the rooms.
Omar for suggesting to add lati lock
JohnS for his courage to last the day and helping a lad with cards. And another top 8 finish.
DaveC for the most fun deck and game I had of the day, even though I lost.
EricC for his vision to create another staple deck.
ChrisBo for a strong showing after a 2 year layoff with a brand new deck.
Meeting Jokerboi...live!
The Roll family for all doing so well.
Richard for his success and believing in the new deck
Miranda for her daylong fun spirit, win or lose.
LarryA for a great finish and some needed ZA
My Banette deck actually beating a Sharpedo deck
Quiet Guillermo from Miami coming solo, saying very few words, and placing well in his first states
Everyone who helped and rooted for my son.
Having the coloring contest to keep the kids under control in a long day.
People that cared enough to drive after 11:00pm finish to North Carolina for a Sunday States!

My Slops:
ChrisBo snoring
Having a 1-1 line prized somehow 4 times in 6 games.
Starting an hour late.
GregC for missing the event.
Listing the ages!

Went ahead and changed my name (2nd in Masters)

EricC is charmed! My start vs him I must document here. I get one basic (weeak to his) plus 6 trainers. Naturally I go first, and do nothing. He goes. I draw three, all 3 trainers. He kills me off.

It was almost too funny, but finishing a game in less than 2 minutes for me was exciting in itself!
