Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Format Change for Next Year - Possible Change for Nats and Worlds!

that's kinda sad, I have to say bye to pretty much all my deck juste because of a 1st turn trainers rule, that will hurt the game by itself (1st player gets to do everything first)

and they may solve the sableye+E.Belt problem right now, but that means it will be trouble in unlimited...
I guess most people doesn't care, but I still think it wasn't the proper solution.

dunno how to "thank" someone, but thanks butlerforhire, your post made me a bit less mad about their decisions

You were gonna lose most of your decks in a few months anyway....now the format is actually fun again omg!! What's the point of having these said decks when the format is stale and boring??? Rather have the rotation now for a fun nats then after worlds.

I think this is the proper time for P!P to make people quit the game by July. I will be quitting by then too believe me. I might come back but maybe not. Gengar Prime will be a card going for 200 bucks by then and the game will be a true nightmare. Lostgar is why. The only bright side is that Sabledonk will be gone.

hs-on all the way! I wouldn't want it any other way. The sour patch kids came in late and are spamming the last few pages of this thread with feeble attempts at stupid pleas. Sableye needs to be stopped. So does all the other lv X sets!

Oh hey, didn't we hear about how Lostgar was going to do that exact same thing this format? And it... didn't? In HGSS on, Lostgar will be even worse due to cards like Mandibuzz, lack of BTS, Zekrom outspeeding it, Tyranitar being a boss in general, Reshiram/Emboar or Reshiram/Typhlosion one shotting it over and over, Donphan outspeeding it... yeah, Lostgar isn't going to be good in HGSS on.

If it turns out to be good, then well, I've been wrong before. But I just don't see it this time. Not when it had a whole lot more going for it this format and it still failed to stand up.

LostGar could be great in the new format with the rules due to Mew Prime. Since there are few psychic stage 1's that can OHKO it in this format, Mew can create some serious havac T2 on. And with revive now in full effect, you can keep the Mew swarm coming.

Donphan for one energy. Yanmega for no energy. Lanturn for three energy. Hypno for three (pcc) energy. 60 hp is very fragile.

And Zekrom attacks t2 (or sooner in some cases) and kills them in one go with Outrage after the initial Bolt Strike. What are we worried about again? Junk Arm is going to be a huge card too. Just toss Pokemon away. It isn't like they can do crazy Honchkrow tricks at that point to get basics to Seeker up. Lostgar is bad.

The timing of when nationals and worlds takes place and when a new major set like Black and White comes out along with a rotation seems off. If should be shortly after worlds that the new major set is released along with an expected rotation. That’s when a new tournament season should begin.
I suppose being the game is international it makes the timing of such things a puzzle.

Generally, that's how it's done. Set and Rotation right after Worlds.

The reason there's a discussion about doing it differently this year is because the format MD-BW with BW rules is a really, really terrible idea.

I will be attending at least Battle Roads and I will not play Sableye.

Maybe I'll have to ask for a Steelix list or something fun like that to play around with.

New rogue to have fun at BR, it only takes 2 or 3 good sabledonk players to show how broken it is and once I loose to them I will be hopefully playing people readying themselves for the hgss on season and should be some fun matches after the first couple.

HGSS on? That sucks if it's true. My guess for Rotation would be Legends Awakened(20%chance), Stormfront on(40%chance), Platinum on(70% chance), Rising Rivals on(80% chance).

EDIT: Oh wait Never Mind..didn't look at it carefully. =/

Where do you get those figures from? 70% chance we have to deal with SP for the fourth season in a row? 40% chance we keep Sableye/Machamp/Gyarados/Gengar on top of SP?

(Not that any figures matter-- we're getting HGSS-on.)
