Fossil Rules

Hi,

I am wondering how exactly fossils work - can you put the Stage 1 onto the Basic as soon as you restore it (presuming you use Twist Mountain's effect)? Or do you wait a turn before doing so? Also, does it work the same for when you use the fossil card beforehand; or does that make you evolve manually?

It is not the Fossil rules you are asking about.
It is the Evolving rules. They are the same here as for all Pokemon.

In order to evolve a Pokemon normally (without some other effect), a Pokemon must have already been in play at the beginning of the turn that you are trying to evolve it.
That's it. No other rule.
