PokePop Administrator Staff member Feb 27, 2011 #2 You can't search for it with a card that searches for Pokemon. It is not a Pokemon while in your deck. Only while in Play. Yes. There are special rules for set up where Fossils count as Basic Pokemon during the set up of the game.
