Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Full Metal Alchemist

I like it because of what the kids could do and how they execute certain things...

what about you?

The first I've ever seen of this is a trailer on an EGM disc I got yesterday. It looks interesting, but I've never come accross it in Irish shops.

What is full metal alchemist all about? I missied the first episode and and when I watch it I have no idea what is going on.

It's about this kid that becomes a state alchemist, working for the state.
He is supposed to be the youngest working alchemist.
You really need to know what alchemists' deals are, though.
What is with that 7-year old in the armor, though?
I mean, I know how he got that way, but that's out of my league.

*SPOILERS*
He lost his body in the Human Transmutation he and Ed tried to perform to bring his mother back to life. Ed used his arm to attach Al's soul to the armor that was in the room. Thats why Ed is missing his arm and leg.

The basic beginning plot of FMA at the beginning is that Ed and Al are on a journey to find the philosopher's stone, so that they can use its power to change their bodies back to normal. Thus, Ed wouldn't need automail limbs, and Al would have his body back and not live attached to a suit of armor.

Ive watched one eisode, It looks well animated.
Seems like a good anime, i gotta see it some more sometime :)

The story starts with the two boys trying to bring their mother back to life (She died of a fever.) but it is forbbiden by the state to try and create life. Well thats how Al got put in to the armor (The laws of alchemy are that you must have an equal or greater tribute to activate alchemist power.) so when they tried to create life they did'nt have a great enough tribute so Al was taken in in payment, so Ed tributed his arm and leg to put Al's soul in the armor.

Full Metal Alchemist is the best anime I have seen come to America since Cowboy Bebop or Dragonball Z...

It isn't hard to be the best anything compared to Dragonball Z... :p

If anything, the best anime ever to come to America would have to be Trigun...

It seems to have a good story line. The graphic is great, and there are almost no scenes recycle everytime yet. Ed and Al are funny sometimes.
