Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Funniest Deck Ever ...

Rogue Archetype

It's April fools, so I thought we'd come together and create some of the funniest deck ever.

Then, you can build these decks out and play them for fun at home and at league ( LOL!)

1. The deck does not have to be a tournament winning deck, just a silly one that 'sorta' works!
2. The has to use only modified legal cards.
3. The deck has to be functional in a way that it COULD actually beat something.

On a scale from 1 - 10, let's see if we can put together something that's AT LEAST a "5."

This is your chance to bring up one of those deck ideas that you had, but tabled to the side because you knew it probably wouldn't be worth building (but it was a FUNNY idea!).

My silly example would be...

Cards = Tangrowth LvX and Swalot w/ Nidoqueen.
Strategy = Just eat EVERTHING... every turn. They hit Swalot, I eat with Tangrowth... they hit tangrowth, I eat with Swalot. Isn't that just silly? (but isn't it a little cute and funny  )

What are some of your silly ideas?

This is a rogue which I built awhile ago. It decked out everytime before I could draw 6 prizes, although most of the time the opponent did it before me :p

Exeggutor LA/Regirock LA is the main base. Discard everything from your hand - mainly rock energy - then swap hand sizes with the opponent to make them have a really small hand. Suck up all the energy with 3 Regirock then discard them again using Exeggutor's second attack. I used a speed engine along with Pokeblowers to drag out any Claydol. Chatot killed it though.

Deck: Blastoise (PL)/Metagross(PL)- AKA "Bionic Commando"

Strategy: Shoot everything that moves with Blastoise. Metagross weakens the bench for snipe prizes with Double Launchers. Works best against Kingler decks so you can hit their GIANT ENEMY CRAB for MASSIVE DAMAGE!

Techs:

Arcanine SV (Dialga hate)
Bidoof (Its BIDOOF! MAD BROKENZ!!1!)
Claydol (Luxray Hate. Remember, Cosmic Power is just a tech:thumb:)
Flipped Table (against other rogues, works like a charm:biggrin:)

I know this sounds crazy but . . .

How about Luxray and Garchomp?

No, not THAT Garchomp, this one . . .

No need for stupid Togekiss . . . just run a few popular Weaknesses (Psychic, Grass for Claydol, Fighting for Luxray, Dark for Gengar) with DCE for a bit more speed.

Then just Bright Look out whatever you have the right Energy for and do 110 damage!

Here's a bad list off the top of my head . . .

4-2-4 Chomp MT
2-2 Luxray
2-2 Claydol
1 Uxie
2 Crobat
=21

4 Roseanne
4 Bebe
2 Copycat
1 Aaron
1 Palmer
4 Candy
2 BTS
1 Lux Ball
2 Expert Belt
4 Poke Turn
=25

4 DCE
2 Grass
2 Fighting
2 Psychic
2 Lightning
2 Rainbow (I think it works with Chomp MT)
=14

Bidoof.dec - OMGCAN"T BEATTHISBROKENCARD
Loltorb.dec - 4 Voltorb and 54 L Energy for face explosions.
Deafen.dec - Spam Deafen until you win or everyone dies of boredom (Opponents committing suicide don't count)

Weezing RR

The idea is to never let your opponent get a prize by continually keeping Weezing Confused. Reversals + 1-1 Blaze FB Lv.X for Dialga G Lv.X. Aim for the deckout. Either that or make your opponent so frustrated that he/she kicks the table and gets DQ'd. Tbh, you're probably safer going for the second option, in testing I've found it to be the most effective.

I have two old favorites for this sort of thing.

Bidoof SF + Palkia lv.X + Mantine (evolved)

The idea here was to attack over and over again with Surf for 60+ (I ran Buck's and Plus Powers). With Palkia and Mantine out you could pick your target each turn. The deck was fast and fun but failed in a format where Machamp and Rampardos were palyed. These days it could use Expert Belt, SSU, and maybe Floatzel GL.

Prugly GE + Weavile

I had this built after LA was released as a "fun" deck for league with a nifty ball engine, tons of hand refresh cards, and an Uxie or two. Folks eventually started to refuse to play me if I had this deck though. It set up so insanely fast and Fury Swipes could easily do 130+ with 3 heads. My kids and the league players would all get mad when I would get a lucky shot in and OHKO their clean stage 2 massive attacker (selective memory ensuring that they failed to remember my all tails rolls). Later on as spread became popular I took Prugly out and put Loppuny LA in along with Darkrai. Fun times. I really should try these again with DCE and Copycat back in format.

Lugia Legend/rayquaza LA/ Gyarados SF

Setup with any pokemon you like(pichu hgss, sableye sf, jirachi rr etc). use pokemon communication to shuffle margikarps and your starters back and to get lugia legend. use lugia´s power and hope that you discard magikarps or get energies which you attach to lugia legend. then attack with that and do 200 which beat everything. Against Wailord GE or Torterra with landmin+ expert belte just attach expert belt to beat everything. use rayquaza/lucian to move energies to lugia or attack with ray la if the defending pokemon has a x2 weakness to rayquaza(e.g. Garchomp C). So you do more damage with ray than with lugia legend..if you get 5 energies with lugia legend, use lucian to attach the energies to gyarados and hit for 100. But use gyarados if your opponent wants to stall because you dont want to waste your energies to stallers like uxie la, crobat etc.

If your opponent uses garchomp restore+ wailord ge+ebelt+ snowpoint temple, you will have a problem, because you can´t OHKO that...

@baby mario

check the last sentence of garchomp´s body...

2-1-2 Nidoqueen
2-1-2 Exploud (SV)
2-1-2 Dusknoir (DP)
2-2 Claydol <or> 3-1 Uxie LV.X
1-1 Blaziken FB

[various trainers]

[some energies]

Who needs a main attacker when you just use techs, techs, techs?

That reminds me of another fun deck.

4-2-4 Exploud (3 Ambiant Noise, 1 with the body)
2-1-2 Nidoqueen
2-2 Claydol
3-4 Spiritomb optional

Idea is to use Ambiant Noise every single turn and get as many TAILS as you can. Deck is fun and actually works, but is super flippy.

Delperior.

Use Delcatty's powercirculationx2 to put energies on top of your deck. Felicity's and regice is to discard energies.
Then U use Rhyperior Lv.X's first attack, to discard top 5 of your deck, and for each energy, 50 damage, which gives a stable 200 damage each turn. BTS, Poke rescue + TSD gives amazing recovery, and Rhyperior with his 170 hp, won't die so easily, and you don't have e-belt on, so he can die quite a few times, just remember look at ur catty's. perhaps add in Blissey prime. Bubble coats to watch that gyarados fight.

It's pretty funny once it's setup :)

My brother built this deck for the lolz. It's actually A LOT of fun to play, but not much fun to play against.

4-4 Kricketune PL
4 Sableye SF
1-1 Shaymin Lv.X (Land forme) PL
1-1 Claydol GE
1-1 Sunflora GS
1 Unown Q
1 Azelf
1 Uxie
1 Regice

4 Pokémon Collector
2 Bebe's Search
4 Felicity's Drawing
1 FacePalmer's Contribution

4 Pokémon Communication
4 SSU
3 NM
2 Expert Belt
1 Luxury Ball

4 Broken Time-Space

4 DCE
3 Cyclone Energy
2 Warp Energy

Strategy:

Discard Kricketots and Kricketunes with Sableye-Felicity-Regice engine. When you have 5-6 in discard, load up a Kricketune, level up Shaymin, attach Expert Belt and DCE to Tune and start attacking. When your Tune goes down, NM it and use Sunflora + Supporter/Pokémon Communication/Luxury ball to get back Kricketot-Kricketune line. Put to bench, insert DCE, retreat your active (Q'd) Pokémon and continue hitting! It's like you were playing both Gyarados and Beedrill simultaneously!

Note: you can replace NMs with T-SDs if you enjoy flipping as much as I do enjoy flipping out when I'm getting 3 tails.

You forgot that you'd have to play 2 PL and 2 MT Kricketunes in order to get the hitting done easier and faster if you want to make this a Gyaradrill deck

i must be really, really, really sick to the point where i looked at that list and thought "god, this actually could work..."
