Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Funniest TCG situation?

One time I took 6 prizes on turn 2. This was a LONG time ago, with this Pichu. I only ran one or two Pichus; the deck I was playing was actually based around Blaine's Magmar, which I guess adds a little funniness to this? I think I started with a Cleffa, and my opponent used his first turn to fill his bench with Mr. Mime, Erika's Dratini, and Mew. My turn, I put the Pichu down (I think I drew into it), played Goop Gas Attack so I could hit the Dratinis for 20, retreated, attached a fire energy and Zzzap. 20 to everything. Next turn, Item Finder for the GGA, Zzzap, took all 6 prizes. My opponent was not happy at first, but was laughing about it later.

Links provided for those who don't know what the cards do. Which I imagine is quite a few people; they're old cards.

I was playing obamasnow, and i was 10 off from taking 6 prizes in one turn. I had enough damage that snowplay knocked out everything except a garchomp c lvx, which sniped one of my bench for game :(

woah! 6 prizes in one turn!
5 in one turn's a pretty big achievement too!

the most i've got is about 2 or 3, so yeah.

At the CoL prerelease I went to, I pull a Ninetales. I ran it. First match, I forgot I was playing with a 40 card deck. I Roast Revealed to 1 card left in my deck. With no prizes taken and a huge hand. It was then I found a use for the holo dialga.

I've got two.

First I was play testing against a mighty tank deck. He had 4 Crobat G and a Skuntank G on the bench. He was up on prizes by 2 or 3, where as I was still on 6. It looked like the match was going his way. I promoted an ERL and used Thunder fall for 5 prizes, bench shield Manetric protecting all my bench, and between turns his active Mightyena god K.O'd by poison, giving me essentially 6 prizes in a single turn.

The other was at an unlimited tournament a couple of years back. I was watching a match between someone with a base set/retro deck against some kid playing his standard Flygon EX (delta) deck. Flygon EX had been tearing through his opponents Pokemon, and the player had gotten overconfident, thinking he'd landed an easy win. The Base Set deck player promoted a Rocket's Hitmonchan from the Gym Hereos set and used his Crosscounter attack on Flygon EX. Not bothering to actually check what the attack does, the Flygon player used Psychic pulse for 80 X2 for weakness. His opponent then flipped heads on crosscounter, dealing 360 damage (180 X2) back to Flygon EX and K.Oing his opponents Flygon. To add to it, this attack only needed a single energy :D The kid was stunned and proceeded to lose as he hadn't prepared for his flygon's death :)

Both classic moments, but some really fun games too.

Forgot

Me and this kid traded decks once. I was playing his Tyranitech, and he was playing Beedrill G. In the end, his situational Alph Litograph and Bench Sheild ended up winning me the game after I trashed talked the cards...lol.

Oh, can't believe I forgot this.

At the CoL PR, I was playin some trash deck with Mime Jrs, 4 Relicanth, Lost Remover, a Snorlax, and a Ho-Oh. Anyways, me and this kid got into a stall war of Snorlax fight that lasted about 20 minutes about 10 minutes through the game. Finally, at the end (10 minutes past time was called) I decked myself out, despite my hardest attempts (and the fact that I ran THREE hand refreshers). lol. I went 1-3 that day. PRs are cool.

^
Niiiice.

I've got 2nd at 2 PR drafts. Both of the one's I went to I got 2nd. I'm that good.

Seriously, I've been to 4 tournaments and gotten 2nd at them all - sigh -.

I don't know whether that's good or bad.

Like me last year when I got 3rd in 6 consecutive SSBB tournaments. wat

I'd say it's great lol.

OK...

I forgot Uxie had an attack once that put it under when I double Blowered it up once. And I was playing Beedrill. And I was planning on attacking with my Uxie the next turn.

Arrgh, I need to quit making stupid mistakes and making more good mistakes.
