As what I consider the last of the top three decks in the format, with Blaziken and Sceptile, I figure I will post my list for Gardevoir, or as Monkeyman calls it, Godevoir. I say we use that one as its too great not to pass up. I posted this deck last as I needed to test it more. I am going to definitely say I am FAR from one of the first to use this deck. MANY people used it before me, but DAMN, I cannot pass up its power. Its just so good.
4 Ralts
3 Kirlia
2 Gardevoir
2 Gardevoir EX
2 Skitty
2 Delcatty
2 Wynaut
2 Wobbuffett.
18 Psychic NRG
4 Oracle
2 Town Volunteers
3 Pokemon Nurse
4 Copycat
2 Fan Club
4 Potion
2 Switch
2 Prof Oaks Research
This deck requires a high NRG count for a few reasons. First of all, Gardevoir searchs for them, and the more times you can use its PP the better you are off all game. You dont want to run out of NRG to draw ( as you want 2 NRG drops a turn to take full advantage ) and you dont want to have them all in play or discarded. Toss in the use of Delcattys PP, and your a bit stressed on NRG, even with 18. Thats why I run 2 TVs.
Wynaut, combined with Delcatty and all of the draw engines, helps this deck become extremely consistant. Toss in the higher number of non NRG draws due to you filtering your deck of NRG draws due to Gardevoirs PP, and your set. Potions are used to negate Gardevoirs PP drawback.
Pokemon Nurse is just a sick card in general, and helps even more in this deck. Gardevoir requires one NRG to attack. Thats great for this combo. 100 HP and the ability to effective Poke- Center the damage off. Even Gardevoir EX has synergy with Nurse. Use it, attach and than use a Gardevoirs PP to get the 2nd NRG on it to attack with its first attack. Now, I am not sure if this is effective enough to warrant 3 Nurse, but running 2 at least seems brilliant.
I think this is an upgrade to the one posted by Monkeyman, as it has better healing, and the draw is more effective. The energy count also is more solid here, and the addition of my favorite line, Oracle Delcatty, helps to improve consistancy dramatically.
A few cards that may warrant play here, that Id like opinions on, are Mewtwo EX, simply as the card is broken, and Rare Candy, for a 2nd turn Gardevoir is just wrong. I also have a VERY interesting varient that is so different that I need to test it alot more before seeing if it is worth it. Ill post it ASAP once testing is completed.
