    I have a few questions about Origins/Nationals.

First off is a question I asked in asked the Masters that was never answered. But I am sure people WHO have been to Nats will know this.

First of all this is the first time flying by myself in 21 years so any flying advice will be nice :)
    General Questions:
    - What is proof of residency? like Driver license will do?

-I am assuming Origins will have a map they give you like any other given convention I have been to. (Origins will be my 11th Convention/ however my 1st Gaming convention).. Although Anime Cons also have Gaming/Tabletop ect.

-I am also assuming there is a schedule for Origins that they will hand me . ( I am not talking about Nats the Pokémon event I know when that is)

    Non Pokémon Questions:

Is there FNM? (Friday Night Magic) its not on the origins site, but a Limited MTG event would be nice Friday :/

Of course there is D&D but do they usually do a 5 day lv 1-5 ish campaign?

    Silly Questions:

Can I Be Pikachu for all 5 days?
Will POP/PUI let me use Rock Lobster, Scissors Lizard, and Paper Tiger?

The Tiger is always quick to fold.

Sniff, sniff. won't that Pikachu outfit smell funky after a day or two? There's enough funk at the convention already.

The events schedule will be online probably end of April or early May. When you get your Origins badge, they give you a bag with goodies and printed maps and schedules are either in your bag or available at/near the registration desks. In the past, there have been MtG events though I'm not sure about FNM. Last year, MtG was near Pokemon and we felt sorry for them because Pokemon had an AWESOME turnout and the Magic attendance seemed very small by comparison. There are many, many, many other events such as D&D and boardgames and seminars and just about anything 'game' that you can think of. Most of the events are very reasonably priced or even free and usually those that are more expensive give you product like a D&D Miniatures Draft. I have found that most people are very friendly and are willing to help you out. Oh, and a lot of people do dress up (there have been contests in previous years) and almost all of it has been rated G or PG making it a very family-friendly environment. I'm sure that you will have fun! Your biggest issue will probably be a sore back from carrying around all your decks, etc.

:O Small MTG events are good though; that means the more likely I am gonna T4 :). You Pokémon people will never hear the end of it xD.
+ MTG has Gen Con where I believe they have their Nationals are.

You won't be asked for proof of residency. At least not at the US Nationals.
Now, if some player were to come from another country and win, that might be a problem for them
