Georgia Regional Championships: April 13th & 14th, 2013 (TCG AND VGC)

ohmanohmanohman my stuff didn't get here in the mail fast enough... I will be on the lookout for theme decks and a ray tin if I can't get the stuff tonight... ohmanohmanohman!!!
 
well, went pretty bad for my first tournament. 3-4 then dropped. i prized 3 darkrai one game and well.... yeah. and of course i had to play against big basics 3 or 4 times. stil; had fun though. looking forward to next year's event!

I played VS RayEels 3 rounds, the rest Big Basics...finishing 5-3...

My loses were:
Rd 1 - Laser Flip
Rd 2 - Donk
Rd 8 - Lost by not getting a fire the last 2 of my turns (with colress for 9 and juniper) :frown:

I am sure more people will post regarding thanks, but Randy, Wayne, and the entire masters judge crew, it was a blast working with most of you for the first time!

So you know...my sole goal is to make the "rodeo" runner sign a constant signal at every event!

Great to see a lot of my old friends, and heck, even make a few new ones! See you all at Nationals!

Top 2 was Jose Marrero and Mike Newman. Rayeels mirror, Mike won.

One of the best events of the year, I love Athens.

To the organizer, if you read this: Next year please try to schedule around humongous concerts. :D That is the ONLY complaint I heard anyone make, and it was well out of the control of the staff/organizers.
 
For better or worse, we are given the dates, and not given options.

I know hotels were, well, an issue for some.

What a great event!

First time I have been to Georgia for an event and hopefully not the last.

Great to work with Tymon, Kim, Randy, Rick, Katie, and the rest of the Judging team!

To those that were on the OPs side of things, thank you, we could not have had such a smooth event without all of your hard work.

And yes, the concert and local parties that are part of a college town were a bit of a hassle, but all was good in the end.

Yea I wish the concert would of checked with me first before they scheduled it, since Pokemon regionals was scheduled months before they announced their event. Some people. :tongue:


I know hotel rooms in the area were sold out becaues of the concert, but some of the issues was people that waited till the last week before the event to try and find a room.
 
I can't believe Rayeels won. since I glanced over at some of the higher tables and saw a few klinklangs and big basics up there.

I will try to play next year, I sold most of my stuff though haha!
 
Good job to the judging staff and the TO IMO it was a very well ran event. Any word on who/what deck won in seniors?
 
Awesome event, I am so glad to have had a chance to work with the best mix of crazy judges Pokemon has to offer.

Thanks Tymon for putting together an awesome crew and having me apart of it once again.
 
had SO MUCH fun at this event. thanks to all the organizers, staff, judges, etc. for a smooth event.

out of 8 swiss rounds, 6 of my games were against big basics. playing darkrai myself, i was surprised to finish at 6-2, and win my top 32 game against my autoloss (klinklang).

Rayeels was truly the play for the day. I got ROLLED by Jon V in top 16 2-0. t2 dragon burst for 180 is too hard to overcome!

again, thanks to everyone who made this possible! this event reminded me why i used to love this game so much, and reignited the competitive spark i had from 06-08.
