I really do not think this will be the extinction of every deck on the planet. They play this Stadium, you play yours. Think about it. They play this Stadium one turn, which may not really affect anything until your turn when you need to use a power/body, and then you use a Stadium to get rid of it and play your turn normally. I think that the only dangerous situation would be if your deck did not contain any Stadiums to counter another, in which you would be totally stuck. Otherwise, this may just cause people to add in 1 or 2 more Stadiums, but I really do not think it will make a huge impact on the game.

I think this card is so f'ing stupid. Maybe I'm sour because the decks I was considering for regionals planned on using cards hurt by this stadium, but the timing of everything is just screwed up! WE find out about this card a few WEEKS before the first weekend of regionals.... it turns the metagame upside down completely and we are left little time to prepare for it. Also, as someone mentioned earlier, some of us, myself included, traded alot and bought alot of cards that lose significant power with this stadium card! Also, I heard they didn't release this card in Japan? what the hell is up w/ that... I'm so confused, why would they release it here if they didn't there!!! Anyway, F BATTLE FRONTIER!!!

any card that CHANGES a format completely a MONTH before a HUGE event CANT be a good thing.

The new format will take less skill.
I just hate the mechanics of this card... it seems like they made it just to change the format entirely... but what was SO bad about the format? there was no deck that simply destroyed the rest... many would consider RockLock the best, but it still had alot of 50/50 matchups... UGH!!!

*preys that this means that Furret gets some of the playtime it deserves* Only 167 hours until I hopefully get my hands on one. *thinks of something to pass the time with* Hmm, this could also mean Castform normal and Sun get some play, as this gym T1, or being able to recover it when it's countered is very useful.

VILEPLUME EX
Zapdos ex
Stage 1 Decks
Flygon/Magneton/Yanma
Sceptile/ex/Slowbro
Ludicolo/Magcargo
Walrein/Magcargo
Blaziken decks (WITH MAGMAR)
Classic Gardevoir (With Wynaut and Wobbo)

Some good decks that get around the new stadium. I don't necessarily think, though, that these decks are going to become more popularized. We could all just start running a lot more countergyms. Like 4 or more, if you used 2 different kinds. Isn't there a Pokemon, though, that prevents your opponent from playing Stadium cards? Oh, that's right. VILEPLUME EX. Run a turbo Vile deck of some kind, with Roselia or something I guess. That's an infinite lock on the new stadium, and your opponent just sits there, peeing his/her pants, while your Vileplume ex dominates.

The thing is, running 4-5 countergyms makes the popular combodecks just more instable.

Yes, but only time will tell if the instability is worth it or not. Right now, I'm leaning towards an infinite Vileplume ex lock. *Lightning and maniacal laughter*

=/

My Luvdisc shall pwn your Vileplume like a Sunkern pwns a Blissey! Actually, it would probably be better if I didn't start something like this again.

this stadium does change everything, also in a another thread,i heard the EX Trainer kit is legal so Blaze and Gardy will still be playable?

IMO, I don't think that will happen mainly because it's not like the Trainer Kit where the set is its own (the set symbols). For the Battle Stadium the cards are from the actual sets like R/S and such just bundled into one package. Since they're not exactly like the Trainer Kit, Gardy/Blaze will be rotated out.

I don't think this stadium destroys any deck, but it definitely give support to those red face paint decks. This was a great move by PUI, as this will make Regionals so much fun!

Any card that potentially changes ALLLLLLLL the major archetypes is just stupid.

Why? YOu make a comment like this, but you do not give any real reason why. Perhaps, right before the Major tournament season starts a new scramble to create new archetypes given the new cardsd is a good thing. When the decks change, it keeps the game from getting stale.

There will always be cards which completely change the metagame...ATM Rock anyone?

Wow...just....WOW......

I always told they were hiding something really good in Emerald from us, while people in the other thread kept saying Emerald was a "bad" set. I ALWAYS had my hope in you, EMERALD!!! This is gonna be fun @ the PR and Regionals.

Ok, all you competitive playas, this is for you: On your mark, get set,.....GO! You have 1 month to completely change evrything you ever knew about this game. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I have a Strong Feeling (Considering this set is Revolving around Kyogre/Groudon/Deoxys/Rayquaza) That those Two Missing Ex's will indeed Be Kyogre & Groudon... I can not Confirm This... But It Makes Common Sense for it to be that and why would it be anything else?? It just wouldnt make sense to make new ex's for those slots or any other ex's out in Japan dont actually fit (to my knowledge or they would actually put in this set) for the Intial 106 Cards...
JMO...

Ooooo wich deck wich deck? Maybe go back to good ol Kettler's Science. What are those Japanese playing to use this card to their advantage? Their toying with us... Rawr. Oh well Blaze still holds its ground... It only takes 3 turns to KO a Medi or Muk with Quaza. And Bex for the Medis. Just because you don't have Firesterter doesn't meen you can't attach Energy from hand!
