Perhaps once rotation comes around you should do a deck article. This deck sure deserves it.:wink:

It would be nice to have it on the front page. I got to figure out how to do it though. It would be so funny to see me put one up. :lol: Considering what I've been through on this site. :biggrin:

I just came back from a prerelease and got everything I needed for this format. I just need to get 1 more ability Emboar and I'll be set for the next format. I'll go to another prerelease to try to get my last card.

wow, this deck sure has come a long way. props to you for actually listening to good feedback and trying new things. this will most likely become an archetype deck for the coming format so props for getting the early jump. tbh, i can't wait for the new format. it will breathe new life into this rather stale luxchomp-sabledonk format...

why doesnt everyone use Energy Returner instead of Energy Retrieval for this deck.... is it just because its more rare? I would think potentially getting 4 is better than 2??

Energy Returner puts those energies back to the deck. Energy Retrieval puts them to the hand. We need to get those energies straight back to the hand, so we can keep on crushing with Reshiram or Emboar consistently.

Exactly. You hit it right on the head.

On another note: I was playtesting yesterday, and I figured out that Reshiram can't handle anything past 120-140. It can come out fast and get prizes, but if my opponent can set up on the bench and bring out a tank, they'll start comming back. This deck can't snipe, so they will be able to send out weak stuff untill they're ready.

I think I'm going to switch back to my original deck, Flare Blitz. Instead of going for Emboar with tomb I'll go for the abillity one, and get Reshiram out with Collector. Then on T2, I'll bring out Reshiram, use Inferno Fandango, and get prizes like I would if I was running reshiram rush. While it's out there, I'll be powering up an Emboar-150 om the bench. That way, when it gets KO'ed by a tank, I'll send out Emboar to take care of it. If I can still get cheap prizes after the first Resiram gets KO'ed, then I'll send out the 2nd one.

I think they are a perfect match for each other. Speed + power= balance. Here's the revamped list.

Pokemon=23
3-3-3 Emboar BW (1 ability)
4. Spiritomb
2. Reshiram
2-2 ninetales
1. Azelf
1. Unown Q

Supporters=17
3. Oak
4. Collector
3. Prof. Elm's Training Method
2. Seeker
4. Fisherman
1. Flower shop lady

Trainers=7
2. Expert Belt
2. Switch
3. Energy Retrieval

Stadiums=2
2. BTS

Energy=14
11
3 :double colorless:

Discuss. :smile:

Thanks. Yeah, soon as I saw the starter deck and I saw that Emboar hits for 150, I was like ok, this is broken. Then, someone mentioned the ability one, and I was like OMG!! super broken!! Then reshiram followed behind that. I can't wait either. I'm flaring up right now just thinking about it. :lol:

oops.. sorry about that.. that was dumb of me! :) of course this makes more sense now.

I also initially misread the ability emboar to read one 1 fire energy per turn, but it says use this ability as many times as you want!!!! this is huge!

Makes perfect sense.

Yeah, huge as an Emboar!! :lol:

Hey guys!! Check out the OP!! The deck has a new name, and it's built to perfection!!

Go my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!!, GO!!!! :lol:

This thread needs more Dark Magician ;D

Lol Seems like a very good Reshiboar deck to me. Love the name too.

the deck looks great :D but...... if you put azelf and unown in it your not gonna get much play out of it bec those cards are gonna be rotated out.....

Being a YuGiOh player, you immediately caught my attention with the title LOL! I never noticed Reshiram fit the name so well xD

On Topic: Is this the list you're going to be playing next rotation? I'm interested to see what it would look like. I have a build specifically for the new rotation, but because I'm new to the game I really don't know how to build a proper deck...

They are not in the deck. Look in the OP. That has the newest list. The lists in the thread are from my previous builds. I'll post the new one in the thread so you can see it K. :smile:

The one in the OP is the one I'm going to run for next format. It's a good example of how you should build a deck via trainers, supporters, etc. PM me, and I can give you some pointers on how you can build a deck. :smile:

oh sorry should have read the posts better lol (do you mind If I just happened to build and use that deck lol)

Sure!! I have no problem with that. :lol: The more press it gets the better it is for me, because it means I'm on the right track to becoming successful. :smile:

I was testing this out tonight at league, and it was magnificent!! Went up against a GOOD Zekrom deck and won both games!! The first game, we both had bad starts, but mine was still better than his. He wiffs on flipping coins, and I KO key Pokemon. Second game I get a Tomb start, and he's locked for some turns. I get out emboar (ability) and go off. He wiffs again on flipping. Both games he reversals My Emboar and kills it. But by that time I had the game in the bag.

So far it's looking good for my deck. I'm sooooo Happy!!! :biggrin:

wow reshiram beats zekrom that's unheard of..... so you won the league? maybe you'll win the worlds or something with that deck and people will add that as an official deck strategy :biggrin:
