Good Deal/Re-sell Value?

I picked up a PSA 10 card today, and was wondering if I got a good deal. Here Is the item I picked up, it is a PSA 10 Rocket's Raikou ex.

I think I got it for a good deal, as I assumed it is worth around $75+. I was planning on re-selling it, but am also leaning towards keeping it. Basically, I made this thread to see what others think it is worth, and to see if it would be worth re-selling.

It is worth what you were willing to pay for it...

All jokes aside, I think the card is only worth a maximum of $45.
Yes I realize that it is a PSA 10 card, and that they are "gem mint" -insert sparkles-
BUT a good rule of thumb is that a grade of 10 will only triple the original value of the card.

No, it isn't always the case, but how many times looking to add to your collection would you say "Hrm, I'm really looking for a PSA 10 Rocket's Raikou ex from EX Deoxys". It is a generic ex in my opinion, and I would be confident that if you tried selling it for $75, it would be on the market for a long time... Others can chime in, but that is what I'm thinking.

I thought the same thing as you when I got a few cards graded... YEAH I GOT A PSA 10 CARD! HOWEVER it is incredibly lengthy and difficult to sell more generic non-trophy/base cards that are graded.
 
Well crap... I suppose I will just keep it then. I know the general rule of thumb on average price when it comes to PSA 10 cards. I only asked this because I had hoped the old school legendary dogs would sell more a greater amount.

Hopefully the value of it will increase over the next couple years, and I can sell it then if I don't decide to keep it in my collection. Appreciate the response Trader, cheers.
 
No one likes the old school legendary dogs I'm afraid. I made that mistake grading my VS beasts.
It seems like I'll have to PAY people to take them away almost :lol:
