Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Goodbye BeNeLux Cup, welcome European Challenge Cup 2011

I would like too see:

-pie graph of all decks played
-interviews from the top players of each country (e.g. 3 from UK, 3 from germany, 3from france, 3 from czech etc etc)
- strange decks but they work (should be awarded)
-some articles about matches
- staff team
- prizes

I especially like the strange decks award, would love to see some rogues doing well there ;D
Also I think everyone who plans to play some States/Regionals/whutever should be very interested in a rough list of the decks played and which of them did well.

And everyone knows that your featured match reports and interviews are great, Mat

Ah, btw good luck to everyne I know at the tournament!^^

Ben finished 5-3. Dunno if that's good enough to make the cut. Will try and get some more details.

EDIT

Tom Hall went 5-3

Karl Blake went 7-1

Decks Ben played against:

5 Luxchomp
2 Vilegar
1 Mew Prime/Gyarados (no Magikarp)

No Lostgar then . . .

ANOTHER EDIT:

192 Masters, 8 Rounds, top 32

The 8-0 deck is Magnezone/Machamp/Regirock apparently.

Hi, I'm back from the tournament now.
Seniors had about 10 Luxchomp, Suprisly A LOT of seniors played Weavile G in their Luxchomps.
And there were only about 2 lostgars which didn't topcutted ( Seniors)
Too bad it wasn't 2 out of three. Did go 3-3 25th place, bye bye rating.

Ive tested M/M/R a ton, its fun but I gave up on it because you needed a ton of techs for every matchup and in the end it became so clunky that although I actually think that every matchup was ok, you could as well just play lc instead :/

More snippets . . .

Ben came 36th and missed cut. Tom Hall came 50-something.

A Yanmega/Scizor deck went 6-2

There were a few Lostgars around but it wasn't a massive deck.

Wow, Karl doing good :)

Shame about Ben and Tom though. Did Sami go to this?

Ben did pretty well for a casual player. He won 5/5 Luxchomp mirrors but he has never played against Vilegar before (match up is good IF you know how to play it) and has probably never even heard of Mew Prime before today.

Sami didn't go . . . Nitish MIGHT have gone, I'm not sure. You can never tell with Nitish. Luke B went 4-2 in Seniors but missed out on the top 8 cut.

More importantly, I went undefeated at League today with Lostgar

Loads of Luxchomp (anythingChomp) and Gyarados as far I could see.
Machamp also performing well (more used than I expected , same with several Magnezone builds.
Suprisingly several Jumpluff (always been good anyway)
Vilegar present, not that many real Lostgar

I know there is one Regigigas in top cut.

This is for Masters division

Well, I'm already back at home now... unfortunate pairings (I'd have liked to play against Gigas or Vilegar etc) and timeout calls me go 5-3 and miss the cut, but at least my deck still works. xD

Metagame didn't really change, Lostgar is decent, but nowhere near Luxchomp. So SP still dominates, but I think a less close time limit would give other decks a fairer chance (I once again lost a game to Luxchomp in timeout that my opponent admitted that he couldn't win it otherwise) .

Anyway, good luck to the remaining German players tomorrow, exspecially Paul, Steven and Marc.
