Grass energy help

Hi
I have a grass/poison deck built around venusaur's floral scent ability. I get him to the bench and start searching my deck for attackers. I'd like to use his attack as well, but it has such a high energy cost for not a lot of damage. Is there a grass pokemon or trainer card similar to Gardevoirs Psychic Mirage ability (each psychic energy is doubled) that I can use to make venusaur more efficient?

Hm... Try either Virizion Ex or Victini Ex Both have the ability to attach energy. Victini is any basic energy, Virizion is grass only. If you go Virizion, I would definitely put in some plasma badges, plasma energy and colress machine into the deck. Do you have a deck list that you're working on? It's required to have a deck list to get deck help.

another thought: If you're wanting to build the deck around his ability, you don't have to use him as an attacker. The common blastoise deck uses blastoise's ability, not his attack. He just sits on the bench and fuels the bench with unlimited water energy.

So with that in mind, since Venusaur is already a stage 2 pokemon (which most stage 2 decks should be running 2-3 tropical beaches, just fyi), you may want to stick with basic attackers. Virizion attacks at 50, so not a big hitter. He's a tech poke. What about Genesect Ex? Most people build the deck around Genesect Ex, but maybe you can come up with a hybrid deck idea that features both? Think of some other big basic grass poke's. Or Colorless, those would work: Tornadus Ex, Lugia Ex,

Or or or, if you choose to go with Victini Ex instead of Virizion, you don't HAVE to have grass poke's/energy at all. With Victini, you'd want to go with Fire, so maybe...Reshiram, Reshiram Ex, Heatran Ex, Rayqueza Ex (You'd need to throw in some Lightning Energy), White Kyurem Ex (You'd need to throw in some water energy - maybe even crystal edge for an Ace Spec)?

And all those are just EX's. Not the mention the good non-Ex poke's that are viable for this type of deck.

Just throwing some stuff...

Thanks, a lot of good advice here. I really like that Virizion EX. I'm going to look up those other ones you mentioned and put together a list in the deck section.
