Yeah its still legal but if you look at the copendium it i think you only look at the top 7 cards of your deck instead of search your whole deck

Well it doesn't come up under the researching tower in the modified format. Hmmm.

If it's not in the Tower, then it's not legal.

To clarify, Great Ball was legal with MD-on but not for HGSS-on since it was last printed in Stormfront. The changes to it are from the Japanese release in the White Collection, but as that version's not found it's way over here yet it's not legal in the new format.
