I have so far opened about half of my 60 boxes and have yet to come across a mint reverse holo. All of them have that silverish edge like Deoxys RH's had, and many of them have dings and scratches all over the cards themselves. Some of them have writing missing, ect. Edges are not cut clean either, and just in general they are of poor quality. They look horrible. Personally I sell these cards, but these are in unacceptable condition to sell. Anyone else having trouble with them?

Yesterday I went to Target and 20 Packs of GE, I notice the samething. Mine where like smugges on the Holo part. This is a good set but quality of suck really

And GE continues the DP trend of reverse holos that can be scratched by air molecules blowing across their surface, or stray cosmic rays from a distant galaxy passing through them.

I've also seen normal holos that look like someone took a razor blade and just dragged it across the card. I haven't gotten one myself, but a couple appeared at our PRs. One of them was a Darkrai...it was rather depressing.

I hate to be a complainer, but between this and the localization department, there seems to be a serious lack of quality control as of late. ISO 9001 certification, anyone? No, wait...I'm actually serious about that.

we've had a similar issue over here with the german packs of Secret Wonders - Cards looked like someone has sandpapered their center! Other cards had their holographic picture punctured - random, silvery-white pixels everywhere. I would've thought it were part of the holographics, but it extended to the card name and lv area as well.

It's a shame, really. The pixels can be overlooked, but the sandpapered holofoils look terrible. No trading or selling value at all =/

Tim,

I have gotten thru about 20 or so of my boxes and I havent had any problems like the one your describing. So, I guess it isnt all the boxes that it happens too.

I noticed that some of the card backs have small white smudges on them in the top left hand corner. It's not a scratch not does it appear to be a stain, as it doesn't wipe off. It appears to be a part of the card, although who knows for sure.

As far as RH cards, they've always scratched and smudged far too easy. I understand they're for collection purposes and making them damage easy is away to make mint versions far more valuable. My problem is they're damaged before you even get them out of the pack. Surely, they could be made more resistant.

Anything PUI can do about this? I mean I spent thousands of dollars on a product which looks as though it has been used heavily. Some of the cards even have like indentation lines that run across the card. I am very disatisfied as RH's are a big seller and I do not know where to turn..

I know the original Diamond & Pearl set was pretty bad about this, but I haven't had any problems with the three sets since. I have RH collections all the way back to EX:Deoxys, so I'm well aware of the problem, but all of the RH cards that I've pulled from GE have been just fine.

It is hit and miss. I have about 10% of my boxes with lower quality RHs and the remainder are very good.

I have a RH Premiere Ball with less than 10% of the card having the RH treatment!

I will still take the inferior Pachirisus and Claydols off of your hands!

If you've ever seen the Deoxys RHs or the Base Set Holos, you wouldn't be complaining. The DX RHs had a peculiar quality where they'd bend without being touched. Base Set Holos tended to split along the middle of the card, though this particular ailment wasn't all that common. Every holo since DX has been great compared to that set. I actually like the new RHs better than those ones, cuz it's much easier to tell that they're RHs, especially with respect to the regular holos.

I once mailed in my damaged tin promos and they sent me mint cards in return! LMK if you would like that address,
