Background: There are 7 rounds in swiss on Friday, where players face other players for one game matches. Pearings are based on record.
After that, 5 wins pretty much guaranties going up to top cut.
The 32 players with best record play a best of 2 elimination game of Fri, and the rest of the playoffs on Sat.

OK, so I'm skipping a few rounds, here are some finals:

NOTE: Internet is SSSSO SLOW here that I can guarantee constant updating :-(

In this thread I'll try to keep as updated an account as I can regarding the status and performance of players from the greater new england area in Worlds.

The way this thread will be ran is by updating this first post with information about each player.
If I missed anyone let me know and I'll add them.

Grinders is in motion and hopefully more players that grind in will be added.

Not gunna happen Tent, he has played horribly against Aylam all year ( i've judge alot of there matches hes is at a disadvantage horribly). But thank you hannan! i was wondering if i was gunna have to call people and beg for info on the event and post myself! Look at all those NE names! and 2 years ago we weren't even considered contending material!

edit: hannan anything you can drag outta people as to what they played will be greatly appreciated, if not i understand just didn't know if you could.... it'd make this the most popular thread ever!

i dont know about confermation i will call steve shortly to find out. for refrance all of this will be transfered to the NE boards as well, Give em Hell Riddel! NE All the way!

ok i got ahold of pokedaddy this mourning and Jordian H and Kinley O also ground in! thats 2 more from NE!!!! can we say Ne does it AGAIN!

Mike, Dylan knows how to beat Gengar and hes not playing Flygon, so hes got a decent matchup against it. Believe me, I was playtesting with him for almost 5 hours last week.
 
i'm not doubting that it can be done i just feel the matchup isn't in his favor, even if he goes in with LuxApe i still think aylam has a slight advantage having played nothing but it for the past year.
 
was never contentesting that mark, just using excamples from what i have seen to make a edjucated guess, call it handy capping or what ever for the bookies : )
 
Like a hawk Mark, i mean i have nothing else to do, so bored i woke steve up at 5 am there time lol guess i misjudged the time change lol
 
hmmmm legos.... so if dylan throws nothing but Dialga G's he's good if not his Palkia G gets 2 shotted and pearl breth does 30 dmg by the time it comes back around...... yeah..........

We are about 5 mins into round 4.

For the person who asked, I'm almost certain Alex M is 3/0.

My husband John and I have been out and about. A lot of places to walk to eat in Gaslamp District. We can see beautiful Corronado Island from our window. The hotel is a wonderful place to stay and everyone here is great!

Pokemon, again outdid themselves with the competitor bags for the players. It is an over the shoulder bag, royal blue with a Shaymin embroidered on it. Wait until you see all the new Pokeball mats. There are master balls and many others. The players got a beach towel, a navy blue hat, lots of packs of international cards, the usual worlds pin, a cell phone/DS charm, a very cool looking binder....and much more.

Worlds 2010 will be in Kona Hawaii.

Dylan has played opponents from US and UK so far. His opponents have played Beedril and Luxray/Manetric.

Tournament seems to be running smoothly so far.

I'll try to keep you posted when I can.

p.s. In case anyone wants to phone....we are 3 hours earlier than you. It is currently 2:45 pm. We are predicting approximately 7 pm finish time.

round 5 is about to begin...

Dylan and Aylam have both accomplished winning 4 rounds and are thus undefeated! Awesome accomplishment for both boys.

They are now seated across the table to play round 5 match. Play well and have fun boys!

Aylam and Dylan just completed an epic battle! with an amazing comeback and an interesting ruling at the end. Dylan won the very close game. These 2 boys are both AMAZING people and players!! what a game!
