Ok little introduction since this is my first post. I played a lot back in the days of old school but quit when going to magic the gathing and yugioh, well my friends got me back into it. i baught a starter deck and really like the effects of Bastioden and between me and my friend we came up with a deck idea, not sure where to go with it or anything, any help at all would be very much appreated.

4 - Non Basic Metal Energy

well, first off, Sitrus Berry isn't legal anymore. Second, you'll have big problems vs Infernape.
You could use either Mew * or Togetic d against fire types rather effectively.

Also, I'd take out 3 rival and a switch for 4 celio's, and 2 Energy search, 4 Sitrus Berry, and 2 Shieldon, and 2 more switches for 4 Rare Candy and a 2-2-2 line of magnezone (with magneton PK to get energy out of the discard)

well ok, but for starts i was aware this wasnt a comepletely tourny legal deck. i was merely putting together what i could. Now with the rare candies i knew i was going to have to pick up a set eventually. now you say Mew* Togetic d or Magneton PK well what exactly are these, remember ive been out of the game since... well the days of neo.

EDIT never mind i figured out what you wre talking about and made an edit to the decklist now it looks a bit like this

3 - Bronzor
2 - Bronzong
1 - Zangoose
2 - Magnemite

You coud add Blastoise d...
It would work very well to knock out a benched Delcatty, (though it needs to be used to get rid of your weakness)

So here are the changes I'd make:
+1 Squirtle, +1 Blastoise d, +3 Windstorm
-1 Bronzor, -4 Basic Metal (with Castaways, extra draw with Bronzong, and the ability to retrieve the energy with Magneton, you should be okay... I think)

well i finally got to play test with some proxys wof what the deck could do, and it went head to head with ape and empoleon decks and they were very close games. I was quite surprised how close they came when i was dealing with the speed of what top teir decks could do and it came down to 1 prize a peice. i came on top of the empoleon decks but the apes got their last prize before i could.

Bastiodon should be pretty strong against Empoleon as it takes away one of their biggest strengths in attacking the bench and stacking up damage. Infernape (or other fire based decks) will be your biggest problem due to weakness. Other than quicly getting a Blastoise d up there really is no help in that department, but the good part is it still fits well into your deck. If you are really worried about facing up against fire decks a tech line of Mysterious Fossil/Omanyte/Omastar (all from PK) will hit their weakness and could possibly cripple them if they are relying on Rare Candy. Another thought that could help against Infernape is Cystal Beach from Crystal Guardians. While it would have to stay in play, if it does, it can slow infernape down to attacking every other turn rather than every turn by making their DRE useless.

ya i know how much it can slow them down but i rely on them too as well to get Bastion and Bonzong going turn 2. with the 4 RC and the way the deck is runing now i can usually start smashing things strait off. it was working quite well, im really hoping to take this to the next Ohio BR next sunday. and btw the megnatons work great in this deck as well, along with the megnezone. i took quite a few prizes with zone smash for 80 for 3 energys. But again thats a late game strat.

You and your silly metal-ness, Kuro. You almost got back into the game around...TR Returns, and I remember your Metagross. I'm liking this deck. Hopefully when you get the cards you need for it you can take it to a tourney and red face paint on everyone's ***.
