Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Guitar Hero! (Now with GH III Info and Songs)

What do you do in it? I've heard a bunch of buzz about it. Is there like a virtual guitar or somethin?

They make special guitar controllers for the game. It's also possible to play with the regular dualshock controller, for PS2. I am sure you can use the controller for the XBox 360 version as well.

I can't play guitar : (

You don't have to know how to play guitar, to play this game.

For those yet to try it, do so, it's a lot of fun, and addicting.

You use a Guitar (not a real guitar) made by the game for the Guitar Hero series games. It functions as a controller and a guitar. This game is crazy and is so much fun. It's a must play game! Also, just because you're not good at the game when you first start playing, don't give up because the game is really fun and addicting and you'll gradually get better.

the basis of the game is learning how to go along with the beat of a song
if you are having trouble with one song, try listening to is on your stereo or something like that so you can learn the general beat of the song

that would be a good technique, but the fact that all 3-5 notes sound the same kinda messes with it ;x

what i meant was, you can hear when the music spikes in one particular area
a good example would be with symphony of destruction, you can clearly tell when you should fret the strings and strum them because of the obvious beat of the song
some songs are less obvious, but if you look at the screen, see which button you have to fret/push, and know the general beat/rythem of the song, you can usually tell when the time is right to play
and yeah, they all do sound the same

We love GH and GH2 at our house. We have both for PS2. We just got an XBox 360 though and are wondering if we should pick it up for that. Are there many differences/extras? I really do not want to spend that much $ to play the same thing on a different console. Plus we can do the duet modes or whatever it is called on the PS2 because we have two guitars.

AgentP - I think your little one and mine should form a band! Andrew would be in heaven if GH had Pokemon music like Donkey Konga but alas it isn't Nintnedo....

I wouldn't think there would be any difference except for maybe the graphics, but really, I'm not the person to ask. Don't rely on me...lol

Xbox 360 version has 10 extra songs, and now you can download songs from the Microsoft store, or whatever it's called, from GH1. Right now I believe they have 9 songs avaialble for Download.

Plus the graphics are a bit nicer.

In other news, Guitar Hero III will be availble for PS2, PS3, 360, Wii, and even the DS. Should be available in early 2008, even though I think a late 2007 release would do wonders in sales...Christmas anyone?

i bout GH on ps2 ages ago! i've got 5 stars on easy and medium, including extras! then i got a ps3, i play GH no more...

Oh yes!!!! Okay, we are aging ourselves but the hubby and I cheered out loud when we saw today that there will be an 80's expansion this summer for the PS2 -> Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80's

idk bout GHIII...activision seems to just be turning this series into the next DDR (they said they are coming out with a new version every year starting with this one :frown: ). It also adds insult to injury that NEVERSOFT is making the third one. I got nothing against them...but Red Octane is a better dev. so i will probably stick with Rock Band...even if i have to eat ramen noodles for a month
