Hey ya'll's. I got to watch this at midnight right in Australia on Wednesday 13 local time, and I must say, its AMAZING. What's you others thoughts about this movie if you have watched or if you havent, will you get to watch it? Or rather wait until the DVD release? :p

Well according to Marcus, the he despised the ending battle.....something about completly wrecking it?

I really enjoyed it. There were a few small parts from the book, which I felt without reading it in advance to seeing the movie, would have been left out and perhaps left people confused. That aside however, it was well worth watching and a great way to finally finish Harry Potter.

So I watched HP the other day on the 3rd largest screen in the world, that's right, the Imax. I quite enjoyed it and I watched it in 3D, but there weren't many pop out of the screen moments. Some of the CGI at the beginning (the same CGI at the end of the first part), the blocks of possibly marble on Dumbledore's grave looked rather unrealistic or fake for some reason. I was also quite confused when I saw Fred or George, not sure which one, still alive as I had thought he had died in the first part of the movie, I was wrong, I guess it's because it's been about two years since I read the book. Another thing I found strange was at the end, 19 years later, Harry and Ron looked slightly older but Hermione and Ginny looked almost exactly like they did 19 years earlier, weird huh? Neville also looks significantly older in the movie and was barely recognizable in some parts. This movie was missing a few parts from the book such as details regarding Dumbledore and his family and Grindelwald. Overall, I enjoyed this movie, but it was shorter than I expected (about 1 and a half hours), they could've included some of the excluded information and scenes ad extended it a bit, but oh well...still a pretty good movie.

Yeah I watched it Friday night, and I thought it was really well done. I hadn't read the book since it first came out and there wasn't anything "missing" you wouldn't remember unless you reread the book.

Theres a bit more backstory in the book to some respects, however I'd imagine the extended version would pick up a bit of that....

They messed up more in this movie, then they did in all the others. Yet, this one was by far the best of the series.

I haven't read the last book in a couple of years, so there could be a reason for this. However, the scene showing Fred and George both looking towards the camera had neither of them missing an ear.

Freds death scene
The duel between voldemort and the proffesors.
Bellatrix dueling with hermoine, ginny(she shoots a spell at ginny)
Harry comes out of the cloke of invisibility, starts trash talking thendeath happens.
Harry actually fixing his wand which was destroyed.
The Deathly Hallows explanation into how he really didn't die.
The portraits of snape and dumbledore, and how he talks to dumbledore about what happened. He say he was the master of death, and its best if he used his own wand and after time, null n void the the power when he dies naturally.
Etc...few other things I could have mentioned, Mcgonogall scene, Cho Cheng scene, Neville scene.

I said Ginny and Hermoine dueled Bellatrix...this did NOT happen in the movie.
Harry Used his own wand, that he won off of Draco, yes. Though, at the end of the movie, he says the Elder Wand does feel right. So he uses it to mend his old wand.

Dumbledore did...but he also get in debth with him about how he wins, and also explain his relationship with Grindelwald.

Mcgonogall scene where she was spit upon, and Harry didn't like that so the crucatus curse was used...thus she saw harry.
Nvellie being told what to do.

Cho Cheng, the conflict of her love for Harry. She tries to be the escort, but Ginny doesn't like that.

I stopped watching the Harry Potter movies after number 5. I like the books better and the movies always mess with my imagination on how characters look or sound. Not to mention I always notice what's different or changed. I'm sure I'll catch this one on TV someday though, as I have with the others.

I know for sure when I see it, when they show all the dead bodies at the one part, I'm gonna yell "TEN POINTS FROM GRYFFINDOR!"

Details, details. If you want the book, then you're better off just reading the book. I don't see how altering a few minor scenes from the book means the movie messed up. Even with a little over two hours, the movie still had to skip along in order to get to the RELEVANT parts of the STORY. The focus was on Harry, and that obviously left little screen-time and lines for all the supporting characters. If anything, they only needed to expand upon how Harry survived.

...ok, this was the final movie...it got split into 2 parts. There's no reason to skip out on some crucial things that didn't leave everything wide open. Because of it, they made it seem like there will be another one.

I agree with Vegeta.

*Wonders why Goku hardly ever says that*

The wand fixing scene and the Harry + Crucio = Flawless Victory scene were two that I looked forward to the most. I was disappointed that they were gone. That being said, i still enjoyed the movie and will happily watch it again and again. As always, the sweet things they added almost made up in full for the cool things they neglected.
