He lost the battle

Dear all,

During worlds 2009 we collected pokemon goodies for the San Diego Children's hospital and for my son's Australian friend, Liyan Brown, who suffered from cancer.

The many generous donations made a lot of children in need very very happy. Liyan was extremely happy and proud of everything we sent to him - he was such a great pokemon fan. He even wears a pokemon cap on his facebook profile picture.

I am very sad to inform you that Liyan lost his battle to cancer in late 2010. He was 13 years old.

On behalf of Liyan, I would like to thank each and everyone for all the wonderful presents - they made him very very happy and proud.

I'm so sorry for both your son, and Liyan's family's loss. I didn't go to World's, but I will donate if I attempt to go this year.
