I never said they weren't responsable, just that it isn't their fault. Just like on all of the Cops shows where they have the one innocent guy in a car while all of the others are taking drugs. While it's not his fault that the other people are taking drugs, he's still going to get taken in just because he's with them. Sorry that I couldn't think of a better example. :/

I get what you mean by the example but if they're partly responsible, then it's also partly their fault if something goes wrong, because it's their responsibility to make sure nothing does and they haven't done this properly. The difference here is that these products are being sold in Target stores. It doesn't matter if the space is being rented out or not, those products are still being sold within their stores, and they have the responsibility of checking what is being sold because of this. It's likely that Target give a list of rules about what can be sold in these sections that they let out, so they should follow these up and enforce them.

Game stores that buy boxes (as they should be) SHOULD be selling cards for less than Walmart or Target. I don't know why they would have to sell them for more than $4 when they get boxes at ~$75 a pop. That's a near 200% profit right there.

Not all store owners do the legwork to find a distributor/source for 75 dollar boxes. Just speaking from experience.

Not really intending to bash local game stores more, but most of them probably don't have much business sense either...

But anyways, moving away from that and on topic, that is definitely rather odd...and more disturbing with the whole repackaging issue. I can definitely say I'm now more tempted to buy online from a reputable vendor than one that repackages cards...

what is the reason for repacking? there dosesn't seem to be any benefit.

unless...they take out really rare cards and sell them individually! they wouldn't do that, would they?
