Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Hello Everybody!

Hello there. My name is Mac Sting. You can call me Mac, Mac Sting, or Ethan even.

I have played this game pretty much from the start of when it came out in American. I live in the state of Wisconsin, with a Mother, a Father, and a sister, who is quite annoying.

I hope to make many friends here on this site. I plan to trade here and stuff.

Hi everyone.

Just a dad who learned about the wonderful world of Pokemon from my 6-year-old son.

Now we are learning together:thumb:

We're both playing the GBA Ruby/Sapphire and will be upgrading to the DS versions when his birthday rolls around next month.

(Just don't tell him, it's a secret:wink:)

Anyway, looking forward to learning all about playing the TCG from all of you experienced players.

Hi everyone Im Blackfire_Trainer. I've been playing since the days of Base Set, back when I was in either 5th or 6th grade. During that time I played pretty competetively...for a local TRU league lol. It was the Sneasel deck from around the time of Neo Genesis that was my last deck before I stopped playing. Then when EX Dragons came out I got a few packs in my Christmas stocking and pulled a secret rare Charmander and Salamence. I promptly made a janky "dragon" deck using that Salamence and my base set Charizard...then I found out about the other secrets in the 'Zard line from EX Dragons and that kinda got me back into the game.

Hello everyone... It's been a while, but, it is nice to see and hear some familiar faces...

I've been playing the game from Base Set all the way to Neo: Genesis... After I attended my fifth World Championship, I took a hiatus from the game... Surprisingly enough, I am back, thanks to one of the students I am helping to tutor... He enjoyed collecting the cards and was playing the game terribly, without the standard rules and structure of any kind... I bought back into a few cards and seemed to be hooked again, this time a little older and wiser...

For those who may recognize the name, this is the same Professor Maple:
  • who wore the white lab coat with the Canadian flags...
  • who waves the Canadian flag proudly at each event he was at...
  • that played a rogue Donphan/Jigglypuff deck in the fifth Masters Division World Championships in New Jersey and still managed to do fairly well...
  • that volunteered to be the Head Judge at the first Professor's Challenge at the fifth World Championships in New Jersey... Talk about a loaded field!
This is my first experience with Nintendo and POP at the helm... I hope to be able to kickstart a league or two here before too long... It will be nice to catch up on everything in the game, the metagame, and this board...

If you remember me at all, send me a PM!

Prof. Maple, a.k.a. John...

Hi all! Just signed up and new to Pokemon. I am a mom of 2. My son is 6 and my daughter is 8. Became involved in Pokemon with them after BK had their promo. We had always watched the cartoon, but now are totally into the TCG. It is so awesome and we love going to league every week. Any other parents out there who are involved as much as their kids? Would love to hear from you. Can't wait to read more posts and get ideas for strategies and decks. Seems like a great place.
