When we buy HGSS packs, will we have a choice between buying a pack of HG or SS, or will packs be mixed with some cards from gold and some from silver?

They'll be together. The way the set is numbered, from what we've seen, lists both Japanese sets together.

It's similar to the treatment we got of Dawn Dash and Moonlight Pursuit, most of those two sets were combined to form Great Encounters.

...even though it'd be wicked awesome if we had 2 sets like japan!

Think about the extra level of trading that would be introduced into the game.

They wouldn't even have to change the boxes that much. Left 18 boosters would be Gold and Right 18 boosters would be Silver.

Doesn't that sound cool?

Yeah, in Japan, there are several times when the set is really divided into two boosters, but this isn't done internationally, and so HGSS will be combined of both heartgold/soulsilver.

A good example to look at is Diamond and Pearl. Diamond and Pearl were seperate boosters in Japan, but were then combined into one set when it was internationally released so things wouldn't get complicated when the set were to be divided.

So yeah, HGSS will have both of the cards from heartgold and soulsilver. Thus, the two sets are combined into one set yet again, like what's usually done.

I can see why they opt not to, but I would really prefer two separate sets like Japan's done. It would making pulling specific cards far easier.
