This is the best set I've seen in a LONG time

of course there's a hell of a lot of "fluff" cards, but man there is some real potential

Heatran is hard to get into play. Great Typhlosion is in the same line. Doing 10 to self on a 130 HP Pokemon that is capable of getting OHKOs generally isn't a big deal, especially when Nidoqueen can also be easily teched in.

Agreed. Only thing is having another energy in hand to attach along with Grt Typhlosion's power.

lol Jumpluff is awful.
I would love spinning tail (Gatr) if it did just 10 more damage.
Mareep is the brokeness.
Slowking will be cool.
OMG Phanpy has flail, wait, so did the SW one...
Donphaaaaaaan.
Cleffa is okay, I guess, idk, we have Oak's Theory now.
Blissey is terrible.
Like the new art on the older Trainers.
Oak's Theory.
DCE, is well DCE.
Ninetails is well...hot?
Both Thyplosions are cool, bland, but worth a shot.
I already have an idea for Politoed.
I don't know what to think of Pichu, it won't see much play outside of a Jumpluff build probably.
Raichu 100 for 2 is great, easy to repeat it, and you can level it up to get some late game snipes in.
Golbats art...
Great Crobat...meh.
Tyrogue-->Riolu DP?
Igglybuff is passable.
If a Teddiursa had Rage or even Flail, Ursaring would be simply amazing.
Gear, Communicator and Copycat are all very welcome.

It's got 90 HP, I don't care how easily you can swarm them, DCE means easier KOs. Ape 4 OHKOs it with High Jump Kick.
Now let's not ignore the fact that Hopip has a whopping 30HP, you better be getting off the ground quick.

Jumpluff + Metapod + Cherrim = ???

Just think about it. BTW, Ape requires 1F 1C 1EG or 1F 1DCE, so it takes two turns to charge up like a lot of other cards, and is not guaranteed that OHKO thanks to Metapod, whereas Jumpluff can do.. a max of 160 for 1, without trainers.

Of course, you'll rarely achieve that, and it depends on how many cards your opponent plays on the Bench. Man, if only people depended on the bench for charging up Pokemon, switching, support, setting up... oh wait.

That said, Donphan will be an excellent deck. But it can only do 90 for 3F, whereas Gyarados has 10 more HP and can do 90 for 0, and OHKO (Great) Donphan, even if it only has 2 Magikarp in the discard pile for some reason. The battle of the Stage 1 decks; which one will dominate? We'll just have to wait and see.

Ninetales is hot, the set seems to have accounted for DCE...

...which other sets haven't.

This will be a fun next 2 years!

^It is unknown ATM. I would assume no, because Basics can't evolve into Basics without outside interference.

This set seriously blows me away. The pokemon don't shine bright (though there are some good pokes to contend with), but the trainers and the release of DCE are MIND blowing. Dear. Lord.

Crobat only has potential when unown G is out. :(

I really like that Charizard AR got a ninetails card drawing friend to actually abuse its pokebody.

Jumpluff <3

Great Ursaring essentially has No Guard but only applied to the Defending Pokemon and not itself. It'll require DCE or Memory Berry (80 for 1 with the HGSS Teddiursa, and 10 to self), but I like it. Destroys Flygon.

That Pichu can make any deck that requires large amounts of set-up to be much easier to play.

Also just play a DCE on Ursaring and then a rainbow energy. There's your +60. No need to make it more complicated than it needs to be.
