Perhaps they'll put both halves in the same booster. There's really no good reason to package them separately. The double thing only really serves to make them more difficult to play, and let you have less in your deck (2 instead of 4). So long as LEGEND Pokemon are pretty rare, it shouldn't be a problem.

i'm taking the change with open arms anything new to spice up the game is great imo. i have been playing for many years and seen some crazy changes in the game, but still it holds strong and we all except it. look we really have no idea what the rules of these "legend cards" are i tend to thing you will be only able to have one per deck rule or something like that and try to work around it. but i'll wait and see this is a great idea...hey i remember when ex cards came out evryone was like lah to strong and blah this then lv.x came out and same thing
random thoughts take it as you want

I think its safe to assume each half of the Legend cards will be an Ultra Rare card in its own respect. Playing even 1 whole copy will require 2 Ultra Rare cards. If they end up playable (which I think Lugia probably will), then expect to pay some pretty hefty prices to run them.

Considering that evolution lines are split up amongst sets, you're likely to pull at least 3 different colors in any given booster pack, and at least a few Lv. X cards appear in sets where their base form is absent, I don't think that TPCi particularly cares about draft play.

I still don't like the idea. I mean, you'd have a bunch of annoyed kids who got half a card they don't even know what it does. ESPECIALLY if it's one half per box.

well unfortunately, the LEGEND cards appear to be an ultra rare set of cards that are meant to be coveted. so i doubt that we will see a complete set guaranteed in 1 box.

Guys, they're going to up the ratio, it's the only way. So many people would quit otherwise, because it would cost so much. Consider this: With Lv. X'es, you needed one, at most 2, of an ultra rare (not including TSD). Now you will need 4 or 8 (depending on the rules). This is the only logical solution from a business standpoint. Also considering the way they're doing holos, it makes sense. Maybe if you get a pack with LEGENDS they would even replace the two holos with LEGEND halves.

why would people quit? the legend cards are not THAT good... and I am glad that there will be a card that is worth collecting/playing and that not everyone has (if they decide to make it as ultra rare as I think it will be lol).

I attach Water Energy to my Left Arm of Lugia, and end my turn.
*sigh*

And Rain Dance being back? Im not going to quit the game, I play it for the people I have met, but really? I was hoping they would tone down the power of cards a little bit, not skyrocket it.

Maybe they will be the only Legends in the set. Two halves of Lugia, two halves of Ho-Oh = four chase cards in the set?

Or maybe we'll get Entei, Raikou and Suicune as Legends, too. Then back to the other generations in future sets with Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza as Legends, etc etc. Eventually we'll be back to Arceus and the inevitable Arceus Legend of each of the 9 types = 18 chase cards. =)

I don't understand the problem with going back to 2x weakness...the game was played with 2x weakness for 9 years and seemed to be okay...lol

There are 8 Legend Cards in this set. If that means 8 pokemon or 8 actual cards, idk yet.

Damage has gone up, and energy needed has gone down.

That's the problem.

Doubling the weakness makes taking 6 prizes easier. Games will turn into a back to back OHKO-spree in many situations.

And then you have stuff like Riolu OHKO'ing something on turn 1, with a flip, winning the game before it even starts.

Here's a good question. What does going back to 2x weakness actually add to the game? What good comes from it?

One could argue that many pokemon that hit for 60 now, that isn't enough in a +30 environment, will be enough to OHKO big guns. That makes stage 1s a lot more playable. But if the new 'Great' Pokemon are any sign of upcoming changes, pokemon will be getting another boost in the HP department. So maybe 60 won't cut it.

Stage 1's are hurting bad right now with quick SP basics and beefy cheap-attacking Stage 2's.

I love the game, and can't wait for any new elements, but I will miss + weaknesses IF 2x becomes the standard again.
