Hitmonlee (UFO)

Now, i got a hitmonlee at the prerelease, and im wondering on it's first attack if they are just being overly-specific, or a possible mistranslation was made.

The attack states " Choose 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon. This attack does 10 damage to that pokemon. (dont apply weakness and resistance for benched pokemon.)

Now shouldn't it just say "dont apply weakness and resisitance" being as you cannot attack the active?

Just a thought....

Overly specific. Its pretty much the same thing as FRLG Snorlax. Referring a game rule (or change of for the latter) rather than the card's effect itself.
