This is a deck I made for giggles. Turns out it wins more than I expected but needs a little more ooomph.
19 Pokemon
----------------------
2 x Ho-Oh w/pheonix turn
3 x togepi
2 x togetic
3 x togekiss
3 x gible
2 x gabite
3 x garchomp
1 x garchomp lv.x
18 trainers
----------------------
2 x Professor Rowan
2 x Mr Stone
2 x Bebe's Search
2 x rare candy
2 x roseanne's research
2 x celio's network
1 x island hermit (to help find things stuck in prizes)
2 x night maintenance
1 x enery recycle
1 x holon mentor
1 x switch
23 energy
----------------------
3 x sychic:
3 x :lightning:
2 x :metal:
3 x :grass:
3 x :water:
2 x :dark:
3 x :fighting:
3 x :fire:
1 x scramble (for togekiss)
I thought it was fun to have deck with all the different energies as it is so against normal deck building practices and now I'm rather fond of it.
The logic is pretty simple - both ho-oh and garchomp are more powerful the more different types of basic energies there are available and togekiss is there to try to speed up ho-oh. And tons of basic energy to cover all the bases not be too short with garchomp and ho-oh potenially needing the same kinds and I figured the more energy the more chances I'll have with togekiss.
Could this deck do well in top tournaments with some tightening up? I feel like my trainers really aren't optimized.
I'd really appreciate suggestions. It would be fun if I could make this silliness work!
thanks!
