I think that when we get this set... that if with the half decks (if there are any) and the set is less than 80-85 cards... I would think some of the japanese promos were added... That might be a good thing since they have a lot of Ex's and Star pokemon that we would want...

But the fact that there is 1 star at the moment means it would come in 1:9 boxes possibly if it is printed as rare as the other Stars, or it is gonna be massed produced and come in every 3 boxes which would make gyarados* value hit rock bottom...

They'll be Mewtwo and Pika. Trust me.

*smacks Flygon*Stupid thing. Taking advantage of Weakness is what deltas is all about.
Primeape's mildly interesting.
Aerodactyl just seems wrong after all the previous Aerodactlys.
Kingdra will either be very good, or very meh, depending on how much play everything else sees. Zora r smart.
Golduck shows potential, there must be some way to abuse that attack.
<3 Kabutops.
Omastar is incredibly dissapointing.
Persian reminds me of that old Meowth promo released with TCG for GBA. Yay nostaligia!

I don't think there is any set that only has one star, so there should be more stars still coming. I think 3 is usual isn't it ?
Is it possible that there is a set of unowns ? They typically don't have numbers in the set. This would add 26 cards to the set, plus maybe some secret cards, 53/52, 54/52, etc.
I'm still really hoping that they will have some ex's, but I don't think so based on the DS set. I think this will be more common now, set with many ex's, set with 3 (maybe 4), set with ex's, etc. making ex's more rare :frown:

^agrees with mewtwo* and pika* being in our set.
also, i have a bad feeling that there will be 3 ex's in this set. its strange that no half decks were released for this set. they usually come out before the set is released, and since it is already out, it doesn't look too promising.
the 3 exs for the american set, as most people have guessed so far, could be:
mew ex (from the lucario/mew gift tin)
mightyena ex (see above)
crawdaunt ex (see above)
however, there were 3 other exs that could also be thrown in...the 3 players club ex's:
groudon ex
rayquaza ex
kyogre ex
we'll see i guess...
also, i REALLY doubt our american set will have the eevee evolution pokemon*'s, as some of you i am sure are thinking is possible. its so incredibly unlikely. i mean...thats 5 more pokemon*'s. thats a LOT for one set.

Holon Castform is amazing.

Mag/Trode energy ability but the ability to find it as a basic - I like the sound of that.

1st) wats a spoiler?
2nd) We dont even know wat the cards do we just no wat they are. Thats not quite spoiling it.
3) Does this set come out after Legend Maker?

Emerald will not be rotated out after Worlds. PUI's come on here and said that they make 4 sets a year and are going to rotate out 4 sets a year. Now, nobody can guarantee anything, but using that math, HL, FRLG, TRR, and DX will be rotated out, leaving EM, DS, LM, and HP to be the format after Worlds.

The Rare Candy reprint makes is look like up through Emerald will be rotated out after Worlds.

Uh huh. And Life Herb was printed in two consecutive sets, meaning PUI rotated out HL last year, right?

Hey, did anyone else notice this trend:

Emerald
Medicham-ex Shuts off all non-EX powers while active
Battle Fronteir Stadium, Shuts off all Powers and Bodies on evolved D, M, and C Pokemon

Unseen Forces
Feraligator-ex Shuts off all non-EX powers and Bodies while active
Umbeon-ex Turns off any 1 Pokemons Powers, and it's ability to retreat

Legend Maker
Muk Shuts off ALL powers while active
Solrock Shuts off all C Powers while Lunatone is in play
Lunatone Shuts off all R Powers while Solrock is in play
Cursed Shrine Stadium, does 10 damage to each Pokemon with a Power in between each turn
Girafarig Shuts off all Basic Powers while in play

Holon Phantom
Pidgeot Shuts off all Powers on non-delta Pokemon
Latias Shuts off all evolved Pokemons Bodies while Latios is in play
Latios Shuts off all evolved Pokemons Bodies while Latias is in play

Has anyone else noticed this trend? It scares me to think of what the Worlds format will be, with all this power deenial around.

Reminds me of a thread we had around here

The PCL practice seems to be leaning towards nerfing good combos instead of creating newer combos, or making other combos stronger.

I thought with the release of Emerald, that we would be going towards that direction. If you look at Emerald, there's very few powers and really just a bunch of evolutions with attacks.

Hi folks,

In fact the ones most hurt are Poké-Power reliant decks since their counters are the easiest ones to tech into deck or built some fast beatdown decks around. Poké-Bodies are the ones least effected unless the bodies are on a Dark Metal or Colorless evolution line. This leaves Latias and Latios but their attacks are rather bad. One can combine them with one of their previous forms but their attacks are rather conditional too.

My new nickname lol j/k

By the way, i want to point out a small error in Bangirasu's translation.

Beware of the wording, not all of deoxys.
The orginal wording in Japanese is "JIBUN", means "this pokemon".
Since using the form change power diesnt remove this attack effect which acting on Deoxys-D,
I think change it back to "this pokemon" or singl word of "deoxys" is better.

Your translation is great, maybe better than what PUI did, I cannot find out anymore errors lol

That's high praise, coming from you.

I see your point with Deoxys, I was trying to avoid writing "Deoxys's", but it does sound like it's referring to all Deoxys in play. What do you think of this wording? "If this Pokemon attacks during your next turn, it does an additional 40 damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance)."

I think the reworded translation makes it clear that only the Active Deoxys gets the effect, while also indicating that the effect applies to attacks other than Crystal Laser (which is the most important factor here IMO).

Yeah, the next two sets are bringing SO much disruption. Every disruption has its own counter to. It will be really hard to know what will come out on top.

You know, Latias/Latios are the Power Disruption counters. :/ It's not like they really disrupt anything other than Rock-Lock and Power Denial.
