Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

how do you say . . . ????

Japanese name is same as American name so it's pronounced
Re-ji-gi-gas

*Note that Japanese i is pronounced as ee in English and Japanese a is pronounced like ah

Yeah, the Regis have always been tricky to pronounce in my opinion. Like, Regice sounds different than Regirock since the letter I is pronounced in the word ice... so it's like redge ice versus redgie rock... right?

I say Regigiags like pichu bros. rox, just looks like it would sound that way.

The current comercial over at http://go-pokemon.com has the announcer saying Regigigas. It is about the way I say it, but with a strange placing of the dominant syllable (Just sounds like he is putting to much emphasis on the last syllable).

No, it's redgie-ice. That's how it was pronounced in Lucario and the mystery of Mew.

Well Regiice doesn't look right. I think it's common sense that it would be pronounced Regi-ice even though it's technically wrong.

As drmario pointed out, technically everybody should be saying un-own, but nobody does. Just like nobody (that I know of) says vic-tree-bell. Everybody I've met (I think) says victery-bell. the "er" in "victery" is like th "er" in "burr".

Ok, thanks for clearing up the Regice thingv guys.

Yeah, I always just slur that together and say victery bell.

The Unown is an interesting point.... but I mean but what's the difference between saying Unown and Unknown... they sound the same if you say them as a single word withourt separating them... But an interesting thing to note... on Pokegym, the symbols for the Unown, like in my sig, are incorrectly spelled "unknown" in the code :) Never noticed that before

:unknown-l:unknown-o:unknown-l, I actually always thought it was spelled Unknown too...
