How "does AZ" affect evolved Pokemon?

The Phantom Forces "AZ" Supporter card says "Put 1 of your Pokemon into your hand. (Discard all cards attached to that Pokemon)."

Aside from the obvious (tools and energy) being discarded, do you also discard any lower-stage evolutions? If not, do they stay in play (and retain damage)?

For example, if you have a Pyroar in play with 2 damage counters, and you play "AZ" to put Pyroar in your hand, what else happens?
(A) Litleo is returned to your hand, along with Pyroar, because the whole evolution chain counts as the same Pokemon
(B) Discard the underlying Litleo because Litleo was "attached" to Pyroar
(C) Keep Litleo in play, along with the 2 damage counters

You keep all Stages of a Pokemon.
In other words, keep the Pokemon cards, discard the others.
Note for Unlimited: In this case, a Pokemon attached as a Tool or Energy card would be discarded.
