How is worlds supposed to be a fair playing field for everyone if?

Tego - It's simply a fact that real live tournaments are more usefull to test and learn abilities of new cards.
For a lot people it's difficult to playtest and not everyone likes (or is able) to use apprentice.
I think everyone who did not play tournaments with D/P has a disadvantage.
We might see a lot of netdecking (USA Nationals decks anyone?)

I agree, but I don't think Europe will have more of a disadvantage than Japan had at Worlds 2004, where they swept all 3 age categories in an unknown format. We can do it too, and I think the 2 displays actually can help.

When I went to the Super Trainer Showdown in 2000 and the USA was 2 expansions in front of Europe, we got 10 booster packs from the latest set ON THE PLANE to the USA.

I would rather not have dp and an easy way to Hawaii than have dp and no chance at all. That would be the advantage to many.

You can always start testing now. ITs not like you DONT know whats in the set. Proxy and playtest with friends..Or play with yourself.

If they do ship 2 Boxes of PK to japanese players it's quite fair. We have playtested D/P about a month with proxies and in apprentice and I don't think that if you don't play them in tournament before Worlds you won't have any chance. It really isn't so shocking set.

And japanese players will test 24/7 every day anyways so they will have as good chance as always winning Worlds. Or they can buy them from U.S., it really isn't so hard to japanese hard-core players.

Just my 2 cents....

You have heard about the new rule for European players haven't you? Because we wont have Diamond and Pearl we can play with 70 card decks a 15 card sideboard and the 4 copies restriction doesn't apply. I think the story that we would only have to place 3 prizes was wrong though. Thats just too silly.

Either way Europe STILL loses to the US at worlds.....:thumb:

last i checked america was at a disadvantage to the japanese players. they always have access to the best strategies. just imagine how many more competitive decks there would be if we had FRLG on. not to mention strategies we never got to try. personally they have it made. we have 4 deck ideas they have sixteen. not to mention we either copy them or miss out at some point. magma destroyed us, but they do that every year, just not so well. i am not complaining but we are just as restricted as everyone else.

the fact that diamond and pearl has not been released in europe is an utter disgrace its an awsome set and we are missing out on a gd set and we are going to be at such a disadvantage at worlds if the rest of the world are allowed to play them as we will not know wat they do and will not have any as they arent released in are legal deck format i think something should be done about this asap wat are your views guys plz let me know

Basically, we don't care about Worlds, just that we want a new set of cards and the same format as the rest of the world as not to be excluded by discussions or to hear
