I got the game on Sunday and already had all 16 badges last night. Of course, I did a lot of trading/leveling so I could just burn through the game when I got it.
My team was:
Gengar, Alakazam, Infernape, Empoleon, and Garchomp.
They were all close to LVL 50 before I even started out for the first Gym.
I didn't bother trying for a 6th pokémon since I figured those 5 would be enough. haha
Of course the LVL 100 pokémon were imported onto the game after I got 8 badges.
With the relese of heartgold and soulsilver many people got the games asore soon as they were in stores. On that note i would like to start a thread where you can post your current party and some of the metionable pokemon you have gotten
I am about to fight for my 8th badge, with feraligatr (64), kangaskhan/Furret/togetic as HM users.
Ice Fang/Aqua Tail (soon to be waterfall)/Crunch/Strength hits just about everything so i think i am set for the rest of the game.
Wow...you guys got far...all I did was take the plastic wrap off of mine and threw away the wi-fi manuals...oh and I registered the games on Club Nintendo (soooo close to Mr. Game and Watch...I need like 30 more coins).
I only saw two other people in Gamestop when I went. I was later then I wanted to be but I couldn't help that. The other two was a dude buying a preorder of some other game and a chick that was checking out the used X-Box 360 games. Like I said I was a little later then I wanted to be.

I haven't had as much time as I would like to play but I'm also trying to do everything in the game insted of just racing through it. All I need to do now is fine some one to trade some of my other pokemon with so that I can get them on my SS but thats later.
