How much does damage to a card devalue it?

I just bought a Luxray GL Lv X I'm looking to resell. They're selling for about £35-40 English money, however its peeling around the edges and may have some creases. Obviously its a good deal for someone who can't afford the card otherwise. How much would it be worth like that? Is £20 ( about $30 ) fair?

5 pounds, give or take... not much difference if the card is damage or not, the demand is just tooo high.

even in a sleeve a creased card might not be tournament legal.

Damage can devalue any card all the way down to zero.

Thanks for everyone's help. I'm thinking about $40ish is fair then.

I got the card in the mail today, and luckily it hasn't got any creases going right across the card - I think it should be tournament legal. It just looks really worn/used more then anything by someone not using any sleeves. The bottom looks like it's been put in liquid then dried, but the damage isn't too bad. I'll show it to you when we're next at Crawley.

I think it really depends on the person. I probably wouldn't even buy a card like that, and I'm sure there's some people who wouldn't even care and buy it for nearly full price. I think $30 would be fair though.
