How to counter Uxie X

which machamp, sf or prime?

if sf, yea make sure your swarming, if prime i hope you tech the sf machamp for a quick take out.

I run 2/2 Machamp, meaning I run both Prime and SF. I COULD run 3 SF and 1 Prime, but I run the second Prime for Honchkrow, Drifblim, Toxicroak G, etc. and obviously for Lostgar.

Bubble coat wont really help. It'll come up at the wrong moments, since I dont want to run over 2. But I'll still test it.

So what most of you are saying is to just play around it?

Firstly, you definitely want to run a 2/2 split on Machamps. I may even be inclined to go 3/1, but since I haven't messed with a Champ deck since the beginning of BRs, I dunno if I'd go that far. 2/2 is definitely the play though, as the ability to Fighting Tag + Seeker between injured Machamp Primes is one of the core assets of the deck.

As far as Uxie goes, Bubble Coat is really your only option. You could try something techy like Exploud, but I'm a believer that Exploud is almost always a bad card. If you're concerned about the amount of Uxie around, I'd just try and throw in 2-3 bubble coat and see how it goes. If you can't get it to work, then maybe just accept the loss and/or try to play around it?

Bubble coat isn't a bad idea. If you run twins, 1 would be enough. It's a nice combo with junk arm in almost any matchup.

You don't have to have a take out machamp to counter an uxie x. Another x would do. A belted uxie with 1 flash bite even takes care of it.

I actually really really like running 3-1 uxie (as well as 2 DCEs) in my machamp decks. It's nice letting Uxie X players eating a taste of their own medicine, lol.

^If I could get my hands on an Uxie X, I probably would not have started this thread :/

Rescue NRG seems like a cool idea. I'll definatly test that.

Again, will test Bubble Coat, but it's a bit iffy.

I'll keep 2/2 Champ. 3/1 will probably improve my SP matchup, but I think 2 Champ SF is enough with a tech. Especially since I can always use Champ Prime in the matchup if needed (And most do try and squeeze Machamp "counters", which Champ prime just owns them).

Uxie X most of the time will just sit on the bench unless your desperate . Its power is the main reason its a 60 dollar card worry about the other threats the decks have. Though if you need power control bind amphraos is pretty good.

bubble coat or Mesprit(prevents POTENTIAL bat drop) or pokeblower, bring up Lucario GL(he's the real problem here) and KO that and since most SP players won't have the resources to consistently bring back lucario gl and keep Uxie X dishing out damage at the same time that should be enough. Also Lux X can be used to obtain the same goal or even run a counter Uxie X(this forces them to waste a premier ball on their Uxie X etc.) whichever is best for your particular list to continue trading prizes is what i'd generally say.

I wouldn't bother with rescue energy. If you're using the sf machamp, you're not going to want to attach more than 1 fighting to it. With the prime, you're going to try to not let it not get knocked out anyway by switching with other primes (this applies to sf champ also). Generally, you want to max out fighting energy in machamp-based decks. Just return ko with another machamp if you don't have uxie x. It shouldn't be a problem with either champ.

If you're worried about a return ko from a second consecutive uxie x (it isn't all that likely), a belted prime with psychic bind is pretty much safe.
