Hey, Jacob in the haussssssssssss. Anyways, my dad picks me up at around 8:30 AM and we head off to the Italian Bakery for breakfast. We had some great food there, and we meet up with Jonathan, our bud who goes to our league. So it's me, Zach, my Dad, and Jonathan. I gulp down my apple turnovers and head over to the venue, where I meet up with Cam, Chan, Reed, and soon Dakota. We show them some cool videos, and they get some laffs. Then suddenly out of nowhere, A WILD NICK APPEARS! We say hi, and capture him in a Pokeball. Nick and Cam have a fun game, and I teach Cam some tricks of the deck. BTW, this is what we were all playing today:

Yup thats about it. We have 12 people, and we get 4 Rounds of swiss, with a Top 4 cut. The attendance is really nice for Seniors, so Cam and I get really excited. I return Troy back his Uxie Lv X (thanks again :thumb

Round 1: Cam Tooth w/GengarPlume
We start off with average hands each, and I set up my Haunters while he sets up his. I get out Azelf, and prompt to try out a new strategy for mirror; using Lock Up on their Spiritomb. I found this a perfect tactic, because after they Darkness Grace, it puts them at 30 damage, perfect range for a KO with Shadow Room. It also prevents them from attacking if they don't have a Warp Energy. Basically, a perfect bait for a Gengar. I Lock Up for a few turns, and he kills himself with his own attack. I get the Shadow Room on his Gengars with mine, and get the first strike. After each other killing 2 Gengars, I'm up to bat with my 3rd vs his 3rd. I Shadow Room his, but he Levels Up, and hits me for 60. I Level Up, and Level-Down his active, and KO Gengar. He sends up something to sacrafice, but instead of me taking the easy win, Cam and I decide to pull some jokes. I Shadow Room all 6 of his Pokemon into a KO range of 30 damage, and after around 7 turns, get a Compound Pain to draw 11 prize cards in 1 game. What a fantastic ending, GG Cam! 1-0

Round 2: Emma N. (JR) w/Machamp
I start 1st and open with Spiritomb to her Machop. I draw, and pass, and to my demise, I think she has the donk. I cross my fingers and HoPe to die, as she plays Pokemon Collector, grabbing 1 Unown R, 1 Unown Q, and an Uxie. Drops BTS, and a Fighting on Machop, and plays Uxie, to draw 3. Nothing. She uses Unown R, draws Machoke. Evolves. Uses the other Unown R, draws Machamp. I shake her hand there. 1-1

Round 3: Paige N. w/Machamp
I go rambo on her setup, and just get a T2 EVERYTHING. I have the Plume, 2 Gengars, and then drop Copycat, to her 8 card hand, and OHKO all her Machamps. After 4 turns of bombarding, shes at her end, and gets a Machamp to hit me for 40. I OHKO it, and she loses. GG Paige! 2-1

Every time he sets up an Espeon, I ramp him with Poltergeist. Nuthin' more lol. 3-1

Well the pairings are posted and I check. I hit 2nd seed with TERRIBLE resistance, and Cam hits 4th. Looks like this:

Game 1: I get my Tomb start to her Phanpy, and get a T1 Gloom out, prepping for her Donphan KO. She responds with no energy, and I Poltergeist her Donphan for a whopping 180 damage (IDK, I just know it was a KO :wink. She sets up other Donphans, but Im pretty sure she didn't get a prize all game, or an energy. I 6-0 her. 1-0
Game 2: I start again, and get a T1 Haunter w/energy. She flips Phanpy, and ends. I Poltergeist her for the donk 2-0

Top 2: Cam Tooth w/Gengar
Game 1: We both have Tomb, and start getting our Haunters, while I pull the Lock Up on him. He struggles for a Warp Energy, but this time doesn't evolve into Gengar. He Poltergeists me for nothing, and I procede for the first strike. We have another Gengar race, but once again I take the last Gengar on him. He tries to bribe me,, jks XD Anyways, he scoops when I kill his final Gengar, and we go to G2
Game 2: This time I don't opt for Lock Up, but for a speedy approach, since he has a hand full of Pokemon, literally, he showed me. It was ell horrible! ~"Mexicanos"~ We do some more trading, and I get a kill on Gengar Lvl X with Haunters Smog attack. He gets another Gengar out, and I topdeck Copycat for 4 I think. I get Gengar out, and get the last Gengar KO. I Poltergeist for the final prize. GG's Cam! 5-1
