Well If you look at the upcomming season dates it says Pewter City?

We have to go back to Pewter City? I was there 7 years ago in the origanal Pallet Town/Pewter City. I can see it now another Bolder Badge.
I do not want it! :mad: What do you guess think? I think we need to move on into the Holon Region like we are suppost to.
 
there...is no "actual" holon region. its just a made-up area in the card game.

what about new players? they never got the chance to get the kanto badges. i'm not thrilled about having another set of kanto badges, but what do you expect when there isn't anything else to use? i'm sure it was tough for them to come up with badges for the sevii islands cycle, but that ended up fine.

stop thinking about yourself and think about the other players in the game. most league participants are kids who haven't been around since the wotc days, so they don't have the kanto badges.

besides, i'm sure this year's badges will look far better than the old wizards badges.

I think they should have extended the Battle Frontier season longer so that it would correspond better with D/P so that we wouldn't have to go through a filler season before the D/P season.
Or, we could have just waited until D/P came out before starting another season...IMO league seasons aren't necessary. After all, we did just fine in the period between wizards losing control and the R/S season starting.
 
Some people don't have a league to play at.. I guess thy wouldn't complain about badges and so if they had one... And yes, I am one of them. And yes, I played back in 1999, just didn't go to the league, which I regret now...
 
Those boulder badges are what, 3-4 years old at this point? Maybe 5?

The number of players who are still in it from that time, are what 2-4% of the players?

Reissuing a NEW COOL boulder badge is just fine.

When you see them, you will want them!

Yeah, neither I nor anyone at my league really care about that stuff. We come to league for the game, not to see what theme the league stuff has. It's just a negligible aspect of POP. Trying to build good decks and excel in the game (and helping others do the same) is what we go to league for.

...but it would be nice to learn some more about Eidolon Forest and hear some more of the story they took out of the game when it was released to the US.

its been 7 years since they were first issued.
there needs to be an orange island filler :)
 
The key to Pokemon is growing it at Leagues.

Leagues are where most people (youngsters) get their first taste of the game,and the other players playing.

True, for you elite tourney players, league prizes are an afterthought, for you are the ones who are used to winning packs, trophies and boxes at the big events.

85% of the players will never win a major tourney - City or higher. Simple fact. Do the math.

for those players, who love the game, there will always be League, PreReleases and other events that they can love the game, and not feel pressured to win or lose.

Who knows, one of those guys just might have the Shining Latias to trade you, just in time for your big event!

Without League the game will have NO CHANCE of growing, gaining new players, and being all it can be.

Trust me, this new season of league, they are doing a LOT of things right!

I like collecting the badges, the promos i do not care for
winner energys were cool I have to admit. Pop 3 Blastoise is actualy playable.
Reprint of Briney and TC reporter were nice
 
All the people who DID play back then should enjoy a little nostalgia.

*Puts on Ash Ketchum hat forwards, plays original Pokémon theme song on iPod, then turns hat around backwards* Rock-Lock, I choose you! *throws deck box at 9 year-old's face*

atleast someone agrees with me, we totally missed the orange islands for a whole year of nothing and cards with different types on them.
 
Yea, I'm kind of meh about going back to the Pewter gym, specially since the remakes came out at least 2 years ago..

apparently they can't do spin offs, not sure about original stuff (a holon league would have been great, I mean by the time we finish Kanto again Diamond and Pearl will no longer be hot hot hot...


other than that apparently the league will have very cool stuff this year :D

they weren't in the video game. hence why we missed them. besides, going back to the orange islands promotes nothing, because most kids at league haven't even heard of the orange islands. it was on tv like, 6 years ago.

going back to kanto at least promotes firered/leafgreen, even if they were released two years ago.
